Bettor Makes Six Figures on Wild World Series Home Run Parlay Including Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber

It was a home run party for the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 of the World Series on Tuesday night.

Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper started the festivities with a mammoth two run home run in the first inning, much to the appreciation of the capacity crowd at Citizens Bank Park. Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, Rhys Hoskins and Alec Bohm all hit home runs throughout the game for the Phillies in their 7-0 route. They now hold a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Astros.

Bettor Cashes in on Wild Home Run Parlay in World Series Game 3

Sure enough, one bettor ( who was definitely riding the Phillies) put together a home run parlay on Harper, Schwarber, Hoskins and Marsh to all go deep in Game 3. He laid down $100 on the bet that would eventually pay out over $100,000 on DraftKings.

The Phillies will continue their quest to upset the Astros in the World Series in Game 4 on Wednesday night. They’ll likely need to continue their slugging ways to get to Astros starter Christian Javier.

In his lone ALCS start against the Yankees, Javier earned the win, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing just one hit and no earned runs. Following Javier, will be the Astros’ top two pitchers Justin Verlander and Framber Valdez for game’s 5 and 6 of the series.

Needless to say, it’s hard to imagine the Phillies hitting five home runs off one pitcher like they did off of Lance McCullers Jr. in Game 3.

McCullers was asked if he felt it was possible that he was tipping his pitches (giving the Phillies hitters an indication of what pitch is coming next), but he was adamant that it was just not his night.

“We got beat up pretty bad, and I got beat pretty bad,” McCullers said to ESPN. “I obviously wanted to pitch well, and pitch much better than I did, but at the end of the day, all I can do at this point is get ready to go for a potential Game 7.”
