Dinger Tuesday Home Run Picks: Two D-backs Among the Top Options (April 2)

One of the best sports betting promos is back as Dinger Tuesday returns to FanDuel, offering a fun way to both find value and earn bonus bets at the same time. Let’s dive into my top home run picks for FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday, including Ketel Marte.

Here’s how it works: When you place a $25 wager on a player to hit a home run, you receive $5 in bonus bets for every home run hit in that game by ANY player (up to $25).

Not only can you use OddsShopper Premium to find value in the home run market, but the bonus bets offer a nice safety net incentive to get some or all of your original stake back.

It worked on Monday, as OddsShopper found clear value on Dominic Canzone at FanDuel. He homered in his first at-bat.

Let’s check out the model to see who is the best home run pick tonight for Dinger Tuesday. Each pick below comes from OddsShopper Premium, which has guided subscribers to huge wins in March and turned losing bettors into profitable ones.

If you’re not signed up for FanDuel, you can claim this FanDuel Promo Code and turn $5 into $200 in bonus bets.

Home Run Picks for FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday | April 2

Orlando Arcia, Atlanta Braves

Are you buying what you saw from Garrett Crochet in his Opening Day start for the White Sox? He struck out eight batters in six innings while allowing just one run on five hits. He’s only given up three home runs in 79 innings in the Show, but most were out of the bullpen. This is a new role, and he’ll have to take on formidable Braves lineup.

Orlando Arcia probably isn’t the first name you go to in the batting order, but he had the most value on the board when I bought in at +680. It helps that he is coming off a year in which he crushed lefties. His slugging percentage against left-handed pitching in 2023 was .604, much higher than his .375 number against righties.

On top of the individual bet, the game has a total of 9 runs, per our live MLB odds page, which should give us a chance at bonus bets from Arcia’s teammates or even a lucky White Sox hitter or two. OddsShopper Premium recommend this play to me at odds of +680, but FanDuel has already jacked the price up to +560.

Dinger Tuesday Pick: Orlando Arcia +560 at FanDuel

Ketel Marte, Arizona Diamondbacks

We head to the desert for our next two picks where the Arizona Diamondbacks take on lefty Nestor Cortes and the New York Yankees. It’s another game with a total of 9 runs, making it appealing when looking for home runs.

Most of Marte’s power comes from the left side, but it’s not like he’s incapable against lefties. While the power wasn’t there (5 home runs), he did hit over .300 against southpaws in 2023.

But that is mostly meaningless here because we’re playing the market. Marte’s true odds of hitting a home run tonight are +450, with most sportsbooks below that.

DraftKings (+370) and Caesars (+350) are well off the +500 number we’re getting at FanDuel. Play the market — it’s what makes OddsShopper users so profitable.

Dinger Tuesday Pick: Ketel Marte +500 at FanDuel

Eugenio Suarez, Arizona Diamondbacks

It’s hard to ignore this trend: In three at-bats this year against lefties, Eugenio Suarez has one home run. So if he faces Cortes three times, he’s definitely going deep.

OK, sorry, I was doing my best Twitter impression.

Suarez is still looking to find that prolific power he displayed when reaching at least 30 home runs from 2018 to 2022 (not counting the COVID-shortened season). A season-opening series against the Colorado Rockies helped.

But it’s back to the numbers. BetMGM has this line at +450. Bet365 is at +425 and Caesars is down to +420. That’s a huge edge without considering the potential for bonus bets coming back.

Sorry, Nestor. We’re trusting the math and riding with the D-backs.
