This is a pure modeling play. I have this game projected closer to -16.5, and while I usually shy away from massive spreads like this, I decided to trust the model and bet it. The 76ers are throwing everything at the wall to throw off the scent, with Quentin Grimes and Guerschon Yabusele back in the mix, but this is a deeply undermanned Philadelphia squad.
Delon Wright has been serviceable, and Mikal Bridges is finally finding his form, so New York is rolling. O.G. Anunoby, Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson (if he plays) should cruise here. Even if Brunson sits, I still like this number.
I’m 5-0 on my last five bets laying 13-plus points. That doesn’t mean much on its own, but I’m sticking with what’s working. Give me the Knicks -14.
