Bettors have quite a few sharp angles to attack Wednesday’s Grizzlies-Trail Blazers matchup. The Trail Blazers are surrendering the second-most steals per game (9.7) and the third-most to small forwards (2.2). That could be good news for Dillon Brooks‘ defensive props. The Grizzlies are surrendering the second-most points per game to small forwards as well (26.8). That means Josh Hart‘s scoring props should have value if he plays.
But with the Blazers allowing the fourth-most assists per game (28.2) and the eighth-most to point guards (8.9), targeting Ja Morant‘s assist props might be the sharpest play on the slate. Morant has only averaged the 22nd-most assists per game (6.3), but he has averaged the 14th-most potential assists per game (13.3). That has kept his total relatively low (7.5), although not quite as low as bettors might like.
