No House Advantage NBA Player Props: Nov. 14

Paul George, LAC at HOU: Over 22.5 Points

This is a low number for George to hit the over on considering that he’s averaging 24.7 points per game for the season. After a bit of a slow start, he’s scored at least 26 points in six of the last seven games. While he only had 17 points against the Nets on Saturday, he shot 5-for-21 from the field, so he just had an off night in the shooting department.

This is a great spot for Paul George to put up another big night in the scoring column. The Rockets have played at the ninth-fastest pace in the league and they have the second-worst defensive rating. The two previous times that he faced them this season, he scored 35 and 28 points, respectively. The NBA Player Props Tool has him projected to score 25.3 points.

Scottie Barnes, TOR at DET: Over 3.5 Assists

The Raptors will be missing three players for this game with Pascal Siakam (groin), Fred VanVleet (illness) and Precious Achiuwa (ankle) all out. Siakam has averaged 7.7 assists per game and VanVleet has averaged 6.8 of them, so they will need someone else to step up as a facilitator. The most likely player to do so is Barnes, who is providing 4.9 assists per game.

Barnes enters this matchup having dished out at least four assists in eight straight games. Siakam missed five of those games and VanVleet missed four of them. Add in the Pistons having the worst defensive rating in the league and Barnes could blow past the over.

Andrew Wiggins, GS vs. SA: Over 16.5 Points

The Warriors just played Sunday in what was a disappointing loss to the Kings in Sacramento. They are 0-7 on the road, leaving them with a disappointing 5-8 record to begin the season. They really need a win here, so while Klay Thompson could sit out this game for rest, they will likely deploy the rest of their starters like normal.

Wiggins enters this game on a hot streak, scoring at least 20 points in three straight games. He’s averaging a career high 6.3 three-pointer attempts per game this season, and that stat in noteworthy when you consider that the Spurs have allowed the eighth-highest three-point shooting percentage in the league. They also have the third-worst overall defensive rating, potentially setting up Wiggins to extend his streak of games with at least 20 points. Let’s look at our final NBA player prop for the evening.

Jordan Poole, GS vs. SA: Over 12.5 Points

As previously mentioned, Thompson might get this game off for rest. The Warriors have played two back-to-back sets so far this season, and he sat out one game for both of them. Both of those games, Poole started and logged at least 36 minutes.

While serving as a starter for those two games, Poole scored 30 and 20 points, respectively. Even coming off the bench, he has scored at least 18 points in both of the last two games. No need to overthink this one. Take the over.
