Through the first three weeks of the season, St. Brown continued his strong play from last season. The second-year pro totaled 253 yards and three touchdowns on 23 catches before suffering the injury during the Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings, and we’re expecting him to pick up right where he left off.
Per our Stokastic NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings, St. Brown remains a strong play in fantasy football, checking in as a top-15 receiver for Week 5.
Since Detroit drafted St. Brown in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he has emerged as the top receiver option in Detroit. Last season, St. Brown led the Lions in in. catches (90), receiving yards (912), and touchdowns (5).
When speaking on St. Brown’s skill set, Lions quarterback Jared Goff gave the young receiver the ultimate praise by comparing his to former teammate, Cooper Kupp.
“Very similar,” Goff said via 97.1 The Ticket “Both play in the slot. I think the first thing I noticed with both of them is the way they approach the game and the way they show up daily and how professional they are. So even before you get on the field, they both have a very similar mindset.
“But yeah, I think there are some comparisons there: late-round pick, guy in the slot, got a little chip on their shoulder. Both are extremely hard working, extremely internally motivated and both guys I’ve been very lucky to play with.”
After a little over a year in the league, it’s becoming clear that St. Brown is turning into one of the top receivers in all of football, and fantasy owners will be happy to have him back in their lineups on Sunday.
