Eight weeks of the NFL season are in the books, and there continues to be significant movement on the 2023 Super Bowl odds board. Luckily for bettors, with line movement comes the opportunity to find value in the midst of market overreaction.
After Week 8, there continues to be a gap between the true contenders, outside of a few misprices. The top of the board order remains unchanged, as the Bills, Eagles, and 49ers all won in Week 8. The Chiefs were on a bye last week.

Moving Up

A lot of the teams moving up are interesting bets because, especially at the top of the board, some of these are the true Super Bowl contenders.
Moving Down
Chiefs, Buccaneers, Bengals, Chargers, Rams, Packers, Patriots, Giants, Raiders, Cardinals, Broncos, Jaguars, Jets, Colts, Lions, Panthers, Bears, Steelers
A lot of teams plummeted after bad Week 8 losses. Vegas is starting to see through both New York teams’ hot starts, and their odds dropped dramatically after losses in Week 8. The odds also continue to tumble for preseason Super Bowl hopefuls like the Buccaneers, Rams, Packers and Broncos.
2023 Super Bowl Futures to Consider
Recent Favorites: 49ers, Vikings, Dolphins, Cowboys, Dolphins, and Bengals
Both the 49ers and Vikings are still bets to consider after winning in Week 8, as the Vikings’ price didn’t move at all and the 49ers’ did not move much. The Dolphins’ and Cowboys’ prices raised a little after Week 8 wins, but both are still good values. The Bengals price went down to +2800 after a bad Week 8 loss to the Browns, but they play the Panthers this week and then have their bye. If the Bengals can win in Week 9 and get Ja’Marr Chase back soon, they are still in position to make a run at the AFC North. There’s a lot of value here at +2800.
Kansas City Chiefs +700
The Chiefs went from +650 to +700 simply because they were on bye in Week 8. This could be a small dip to buy, as this Chiefs team is poised to make yet another run in the AFC. They are one of the few teams in the AFC that could upset the Bills and be the AFC representatives in the Super Bowl.
