James Conner vs. Brandon Aiyuk: Which Player is the Better Flex Option For Fantasy Football?

The Monday Night Football matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers carries a lot of intriguing storylines. But perhaps two of the most interesting questions are centered around the production of Cardinals running back James Conner and Niners receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Let’s take a look at the Brandon AiyukJames Conner fantasy football and DFS rankings to see who projects to have a better performance.

James ConnerBrandon Aiyuk Fantasy Football & DFS Rankings For Week 11

Per our Stokastic weekly fantasy football rankings, Conner ranks as the 17th running back on the board, with Aiyuk checking in as the No. 26 receiver. With our start/sit tool, Conner projects at 17.08 points, with Aiyuk at 16.53.

Using our expert DFS projections, Aiyuk ($7,600) is a slightly more valuable play than Conner ($8,600) on the showdown slate, but both are considered to have plenty of opportunities to shine.

After the Cardinals surprisingly decided to cut running back Eno Benjamin after Week 9, it’s been the James Conner show in Arizona, and he immediately had more production, netting 21 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns in the 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. With backup quarterback Colt McCoy under center for the second consecutive week, expect Conner to get a lot of touches once again on Monday night.

In Brandon Aiyuk‘s second season in the NFL, he’s proving why he has potential to be a fixture in Kyle Shanahan’s offense for many years to come. The wideout has hauled in 44 of 62 targets for 567 yards and four touchdowns, proving to be a durable option with George Kittle and Deebo Samuel dealing with injuries throughout the season.

While Conner has more of a chance to get in the end zone on MNF, perhaps it’s Brandon Aiyuk who has a little bit more value in DFS with the Niners more likely to have success moving the ball.
