The Knicks are in Charlotte for what looks to be a surefire victory against the Hornets. How could it be anything different when Charlotte has just two wins over its last 12 games, and the Knicks are coming off a monster revenge win against the Heat? But that’s just it. New York is on a revenge tour, knocking off Miami and then facing the Jazz tomorrow night. Both Miami and Utah are in New York, while this game is in Charlotte. The spread is bouncing between 7.5 and 8 right now, primarily because the Hornets are atrocious.
The Knicks are not only in danger of a letdown, they’re also down Julius Randle. Their star forward suffered a dislocated shoulder over the weekend and will miss multiple games. This could be a rest spot on the first leg for the Knicks, knowing they have that revenge spot against Utah on the second leg.
The last time these two teams played, the Hornets were embarrassed by 22 points. They will keep it below 8 this time.

Best NBA Total Today Bet: Timberwolves-Thunder O/U 224.5
The Thunder have a lower number on the total at home, but it makes sense with how slow the Timberwolves like to play. Both teams come in off a loss, but the Thunder just seem a little tighter over their last 10 games, plus they get a home court edge against Minnesota. There are no key injuries here outside of Mike Conley, who is currently questionable. Expect the Wolves to try to control the pacing, keeping the scoring low in the process.
The Thunder are fine with that, as they can create their own scoring in the halfcourt set. They will get out in transition, especially being one of the best teams in the league in creating turnovers. That’s a big part of how the Thunder get on runs, but it’s not sustainable to be the main source of scoring. The Timberwolves are 3-17 to the under in their last 20 against division opponents. Good or bad, the Wolves play teams they know to a slower pace.
The Thunder pop in 1-4 to the under last five against the Timberwolves, combined with 1-7 to the under coming off a three-game road trip or longer. We like it under here too.
