Green Bay Futures Betting Odds: Packers’ Chances to Win NFC North, Super Bowl Shift After Sub-par Showing vs. Patriots

The Green Bay Packers once again came into the season as the favorite to win the NFC North and as one of the top favorites to contend for the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers‘ team is 3-1 through the first four weeks of the season, but their play has been anything but pretty. Rodgers has yet to click with young receivers Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, and they’ re far from an elite offense through the  first three weeks.

Now, the Packers’ odds to win the NFC North have come down a bit (although they’re still favorites), and they are relative long-shots to win the Super Bowl.

Packers Updated NFC North & Future Odds Following Week 3 OT Win

Per DraftKings, the Packers are currently a slight favorite over the Minnesota Vikings (+130) to win the NFC North at -130. They’re +1000 to win the Super Bowl. The Packers’ odds to win the Super Bowl check in behind the Buffalo Bills (+400), Kansas City Chiefs (+700), and Eagles (+800).

“This way of winning, I don’t think, is sustainable because it puts too much pressure on our defense,” Rodgers said Sunday to ESPN. “And obviously, I’ve got to play better and will play better.”

Despite getting to face Patriots third string quarterback Bailey Zappe for most of the game on Sunday afternoon, the Packers failed to assert themselves, and needed a game-winning field goal by Mason Crosby in overtime to win 27-24.

“You can’t be 2-2 losing to a third-string quarterback and not playing great in all three phases, so we had to have this one,” Rodgers said. “That doesn’t take anything away from the joy of winning, but this was one we had to have.”

Even though Rodgers is playing some of the worst football of his career dealing with some new weapons, the Packers still sit at a favorable spot with 13 weeks left in the NFL season.

They’ll take on the New York Giants as 6.5 point favorites in week 5.
