Kenyan Drake Fantasy Football Ranking & Analysis After JK Dobbins Ruled Out For Dolphins Game in Week 2

The Baltimore Ravens will be without starting running back JK Dobbins for their tilt with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Opting to proceed with caution on the young back, the Ravens ultimately decided to keep Dobbins out with a knee injury even though he was a full participant in practice this week. This means the starting running back duties will be handed to veteran Kenyan Drake.

Kenyan Drake Fantasy Football Ranking & Analysis

During the Week 1 win over the New York Jets, Drake ran the ball 11 times for a mere 31 yards, averaging just 2.8 yards per carry. But perhaps he’s in for a better performance in Week 2.

In our Stokastic NFL Sit ’em Start ’em Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 2, we have Drake ranked as the 27th-rated running back on the board, making him fringe RB2 or flex play for Sunday. Given how much the Ravens typically run the football, expect them to continue to ride out the run game even without Dobbins at their disposal.

“When good players are available — and we’ve been known to run the ball a little bit — so you get a running back out there that we feel like fits what we do, a talented guy that wants to be here, we felt like it was a good move for us,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said of the offseason addition of Drake, via the team’s website.

In 2021, Drake appeared in 12 games with the Las Vegas Raiders. He ran the ball 63 times for 254 yards but added 30 receptions for 291 yards and a touchdown in backup duty.

The other backups on the depth chart in Baltimore include Mike Davis and Justice Hill.
