Daniel Jones vs. Taylor Heinicke: Which Quarterback Has More Fantasy Football, DFS Value in SNF?

Taylor Heinicke and Daniel Jones have a prime opportunity to quiet their critics when the New York Giants take on the Washington Commanders on SNF in Week 15. Ahead of the pivotal NFC East clash, let’s take a look at the Daniel JonesTaylor Heinicke fantasy football and DFS rankings and see which quarterback has more value.

Daniel JonesTaylor Heinicke Fantasy Football and DFS Ranking

Per the Stokastic weekly quarterback rankings, Daniel Jones (No. 9 on the board) ranks ahead of Taylor Heinicke (No. 14), although neither is a particularly strong start in Week 15. Using the free player compare tool, Jones projects to 16.55 points, while Heinicke projects to 14.92 points.

In DFS, the expert projections also have Jones rated as a more valuable play over Heinicke.

Since taking over as Commanders starting quarterback for Carson Wentz in Week 7, Heinicke has the offense playing a much better brand of football. Heinicke has completed 61.8% of passes for 1,444 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions. Though his numbers don’t jump off the page by any means, Heinicke has a 5-1-1 record this season, moving the Commanders into an NFC Wild Card spot.

Commanders head coach Ron Rivera recently spoke on his decision to keep Heinicke at the helm and simplifying the game plan around his skill set.

“I think this is who we are. This is how we play,” Rivera said, via NBC Sports. “We’re running the ball right now well, we’re controlling the time of possession, we’re keeping our defense fresh. There’s some things, obviously, that could help but, I think right now, for where we are and who we are, I think we’re in a good spot. I really do.”

Jones, in his first season with head coach Brian Daboll taking over the offense, has seen a spark in his production. In his contract year, Jones has thrown 12 touchdowns to go along with four interceptions, adding 548 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He ranked as the No. 10 fantasy football quarterback entering NFL Week 15.

Despite the good run Taylor Heinicke is currently on, Daniel Jones is the better fantasy play Sunday night with how many ways he can put up points.
