Despite not playing for most of the season as a member of the New York Giants, Toney was quickly inserted into Andy Reid’s offense in Kansas City, catching four passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in a 27-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. He had a season-high 44% of snaps played.
“I don’t know how he got out of that building,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said of Toney on the “New Heights w/ Jason & Travis Kelce” podcast. “I just don’t get it. I don’t get it one bit.
“I don’t even want to know what happened over there. I am just extremely happy that [Chiefs general manager] Brett Veach found a way yet again to get an unbelievably talented player in this building.”
