Rachaad White vs. Leonard Fournette: Who Has More Fantasy Football, DFS Value in MNF?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a bit of uncertainty in their backfield. Will it be veteran Leonard Fournette or rookie Rachaad White featured at running back for the Bucs against the New Orleans Saint? Ahead of the MNF game in Week 13, let’s take a look at the Rachaad WhiteLeonard Fournette fantasy football & DFS rankings to see who carries more value.

Rachaad WhiteLeonard Fournette Fantasy Football & DFS Ranking

According our Stokastic weekly running back rankings, Rachaad White (No. 26 on the board) ranks slightly ahead of Leonard Fournette (No. 32), but neither are considered a very strong play against the Saints. Using our fantasy football player compare tool, Fournette projects at 10.48 fantasy points, with White at 11.20.

In our expert DFS projections, we also have White ($7,000) listed as a slightly better value than Fournette ($7,400) for Week 13’s MNF Showdown slate.

The rookie White has been gaining the respect of the Buccaneers coaching staff as the season goes on and cutting into Fournette’s workload. White took over as the Bucs’ lead back in Week 12 with Fournette dealing with a hip injury. He played in over 90% of the offensive snaps in last week’s game, rushing for 64 yards and chipping in nine receptions in that performance.

With hours to go until kickoff, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Leonard Fournette is expected to play in the Monday Night Football tilt, but he’s still hindered by the progression of the younger tailback. Before the injury, Fournette was playing around 60% of offensive snaps. It wouldn’t a surprise to see him play even less now that White has proven he can handle the bell-cow duties.

If you’re choosing between Rachaad White and Leonard Fournette for MNF, go with the youngster. Although you can expect the split usage to hurt both of their value in all fantasy formats.
