Zubac has been stellar for the Los Angeles Clippers this season and is in the midst of a career year. He’s upped his rebounds by more than two a game and is averaging well over two blocks per game, tied for second in all of basketball. Zubac is among the league leaders in rebounding chances per game, behind only Jarrett Allen and Rudy Gobert at 19.6. Zubac will battle down low with Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis, who is dealing with a lingering back injury.
Zubac had his way against Davis and the Lakers in their opening game, scoring 14 points and reeling down 17 rebounds. The Lakers as a whole have struggled to keep centers off the glass. They allow the most rebounds to the center position and the most rebounds in the league at 58 per game. Lakers head coach Darvin Ham has experimented with Davis at the five, and it’s costing them due to the lack of size upfront.
