Best ACC Bets: North Carolina Could Coast After Locking Up ACC Championship Game Spot

With the college football season winding down, Saturday’s slate figures to have a lot on the line for postseason aspirations. While the ACC Championship Game is already set, there are other games within the conference worth checkout out in Week 12. Let’s take a look at the best ACC predictions ahead of Saturday’s action. Make sure to use OddsShopper’s tools to find the best odds and value before placing a bet on college football.

Duke vs. Pittsburgh (-7.5)

A pair of bowl-eligible teams will help kick off Saturday’s Week 12 slate in the ACC when they meet at noon ET in Pittsburgh. The Panthers have won 10 of the last 11 meetings with the Blue Devils, which includes five consecutive victories entering this week’s matchup.

That said, Duke is 6-4 against the spread this season, so it is the play as a 7.5-point underdog. The Blue Devils have rattled off three consecutive victories to improve to 7-3 on the year. They have scored 107 points over that span and are averaging 33.7 points per game on the year.

Pitt, meanwhile, has a worse record at 6-4 overall and has dropped two of its last four games. The Panthers will rely on running back Israel Abanikanda, who is coming off his seventh 100-yard performance of the season after piling up 121 yards on 24 carries against Virginia.

Final Pittsburgh-Duke ACC Prediction: Duke +7.5 (-115) at BetMGM

Boston College vs. Notre Dame (-20.5)

After a comeback win over North Carolina State, Boston College is set to travel to South Bend this weekend to take on Notre Dame. The Eagles have lost eight in a row in this series, with their last victory against the Fighting Irish coming in 2008.

The best play for this game is the total, which sits around 43 as of Friday afternoon. Oddsmakers still haven’t adjusted to Notre Dame’s recent offensive success, which has led to four consecutive games finishing over the point total. The Eagles have also had their last two games finish over.

With a current spread of three touchdowns, Boston College just needs to score roughly two touchdowns on Saturday for the game to get over the total. The Eagles have done that in three of their last four outings, a streak that should continue this weekend.

Final Boston College-Notre Dame ACC Prediction: Over 42.5 (-115) at FanDuel

Georgia Tech vs. North Carolina (-21)

North Carolina has punched its ticket to the ACC Championship Game, where it will meet Clemson. North Carolina’s explosive offense is a big reason for this year’s success, as the unit ranks ninth in the country, with an average of 40.1 points per game. Drake Maye is one of the best quarterbacks in college football as well.

Still, there is value on the under, which is mostly 63 across the board, but there is also a 63.5 available at Superbook. While the Tar Heels might be a juggernaut offensively, they may not perform their best to end the regular season. North Carolina (9-1) just needs to avoid any missteps over the next two weeks, with Georgia Tech and North Carolina State on deck.

But this is more of a bet against Georgia Tech than anything else. The Yellow Jackets are averaging 17.1 points per game during a 4-6 campaign, a scoring average that ranks 125th out of 131 teams. North Carolina should roll but ultimately step off the gas on Saturday.

Final Georgia Tech-North Carolina ACC Prediction: Under 63.5 at Superbook
