Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Julio Jones Expected to Play Sunday Night: Fantasy Football Impact of Their Returns

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is expected to have his weapons back for the hyped Week 4 Sunday Night Football matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported that not only will the Buccaneers be getting receiver Mike Evans back from his one game suspension on Sunday, but joining him will be Chris Godwin and Julio Jones, who both sat out for the Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Mike Evans, Chris Godwin & Julio Jones Week 4 Fantasy Football Ranking & Analysis

Per Stokastic’s NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings, Mike Evans checks in as the best receiver for the Buccaneers as the No. 15 receiver on the board for Week 4. Godwin follows at No. 58, with Jones way down on the rankings.

Given that Brady’s top options for the Packers loss were Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman, he’ll undoubtedly welcome the additions of his top three receivers for Sunday Night Football.

In Week 3, the Buccaneers offense struggled mightily without their top options, putting up just 12 points against a tough Packers defense. Brady still had some decent stats, completing 31 of 42 passes for 271 yards and a touchdown.

Even with fantasy football owners panicking about Brady through the early going of the NFL season (currently the 27th rank quarterback in fantasy football), we’re expecting a strong bounce back on Sunday night. He’s currently ranked as the No. 9 quarterback in Stokastic’s rankings (behind Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Marcus Mariota, Justin Herbert, Derek Carr and Patrick Mahomes).

Brady and the Buccaneers have a prime opportunity to prove they’re still legitimate contenders on Sunday against another top team. And the additions of Evans, Godwin and Jones should prove vital for their chances to pull off the upset.
