Jalen Hurts MVP Odds: Eagles QB Now Among Betting Favorites Following Dominant MNF Performance

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has not only proved all the critics wrong, but he’s starting to assert himself as one of the very best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. After his lights-out performance against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, he’s starting to look like a clear MVP candidate.

Despite coming into the season with long-shot odds to win the MVP Award, Hurts now finds himself behind just Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in terms of betting odds to win.

Jalen Hurts Now Among Betting Favorites For NFL MVP

On Monday night, Hurts completed 26 of his 31 passes for 333 yards and a touchdown. He also ran 11 times for 57 yards and two scores during the convincing 24-7 win over the Vikings.

“Another outstanding performance,” Eagles center Jason Kelce said. “He threw some unbelievable balls. He made a lot of plays. This was a really great, well-rounded game for him, it seemed like. I have to go back and watch the tape, but when I’m watching the tape I’m not assessing the quarterback. I just know the offense was moving really well and it seemed like Jalen was doing phenomenal.”

When Hurts was drafted with the 53rd overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, few saw him as an MVP candidate, and until this year, many had doubts that he could even play the quarterback position in the league.

Now, all those skeptics will have to eat their words because not only is Hurts a serviceable starter in the NFL, but he’s solidifying himself as one of the game’s elites.

Hurts and the Eagles will take their 2-0 record on the road to face off against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
