Tonight’s NHL Best Bets – November 25

Dylan Larkin Over 3.5 Shots on Goal +126 (Coyotes versus Red Wings):

Detroit’s top line of Dominik Kubalik, David Perron, and Dylan Larkin will likely command a ton of play inside of Arizona’s zone in this matchup, and the Red Wings Captain should manage seven or more attempts on goal yet again Friday.

Larkin has been in quietly elite form all season long with 23 points in 19 games, and his unreal work-rate combined with spectacular skating ability makes him a handful to defend, especially as he now finally plays on a side which controls more of the overall game flow.

Larkin has averaged 4.4 shots on goal over his last five contests, and although he’s only cashed the over 3.5 in two of those five, he projects to have an excellent chance to go over that 3.5 average in a matchup versus Arizona.

In those five outings Larkin has averaged eight attempts on goal per contest, which suggests he is due for a slight uptick in shots on net as typically only very shot happy defenders such as Brent Burns see attempts miss at such a high clip.

Over the last ten outings Arizona is allowing 33.94 SA/60 over the last ten games, and even with Jakob Chychrun do not hold a competent matchup for Larkin.

Targeting Detroit’s top unit in DFS makes a lot of sense or backing props involving goals and points from any of the three in what could be a big outburst versus Arizona.

Drake Batherson Over 2.5 Shots on Goal -125, Anytime Goal +230 (Senators versus Ducks):

Ottawa should come out with a ton of urgency versus the Ducks Friday, as it looks to snap its three-game losing streak.

Ottawa has continued to generate offensive chances at an above average clip of late and should certainly be able to continue that trend Friday against an Anaheim side which is allowing the most shots on goal in the league, as well as the highest expected goals against per 60 at 4.02.

In particular Ottawa’s top unit of Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stuetzle, and Drake Batherson project to have a big day today, and it’s a reasonable expectation that the trio will combine for four or more points and 15 attempts on net.

Each of the three hold merit for essentially any props so take your pick, but counting on Batherson to breakout at better prices is a narrative which could hold the most value.

Batherson has continued to look dangerous night in and night out, but like the rest of the Senators has been unable to finish anything off late. Batherson has generated 12 attempts on goal leading to 0.81 expected goals over his last two contests, and those were far tougher matchups against the Sharks and Golden Knights.
