Best NHL Parlay: Jack Hughes, Vincent Trocheck Elite Goal Scorers on Sunday (October 30)

Despite a small five-game slate of hockey on Sunday, there are still plenty of options to pick through when crafting a parlay. Specifically, a couple of goal scorer props are worth targeting, featuring Jack Hughes and Vincent Trocheck. Let’s dive into a two-leg NHL parlay for Sunday, which pays out over 7-1 at DraftKings, and be sure to use the OddsShopper tool to shop more bets.

Today’s NHL Parlay Bet | October 30

Jack Hughes Anytime Goal Scorer

On Sunday, there is a Metropolitan Division tilt as the New Jersey Devils host the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jack Hughes should be a big scoring threat in a game that is expected to feature plenty of goals.

At five-on-five, the Blue Jackets rank just 19th in the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60). Backing up this poor defense is goaltender Elvis Merzlikins, who is projected to get the start in this contest.

It has been a forgettable start to the campaign for Merzlikins. Through six games, he has a troubling .863 save percentage and 4.31 goals against average (GAA). Among starting goaltenders, he ranks dead last in goals saved above expected per 60 minutes (GSAx/60) at five-on-five. Last season, Hughes scored in two of the three games between these two teams.

Vincent Trocheck Anytime Goal Scorer

In Sunday’s nightcap, the New York Rangers travel to Mullett Arena to take on the Arizona Coyotes. The other goal scorer to target is Vincent Trocheck, who plays alongside perhaps the best playmaker (outside of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl) in hockey, Artemi Panarin.

Projected to take the crease for Arizona is goaltender Karel Vejmelka, who is in a tough situation because of the product in front of him. Through five starts, Vejmelka is 1-3-1 with a .884 save percentage and 4.41 GAA. While Vejmelka is not helping his own cause, the defense in front of him is the bigger problem. At five-on-five, the Coyotes rank dead last in the league in xGA/60.

After yesterday’s two-goal performance, it is clear that Trocheck is becoming comfortable playing alongside Panarin and the power play unit in his first season with New York. Expect that to continue against Arizona, a team he has scored five goals against over his last 11 games.
