Best NBA Player Prop Bets Today: Joel Embiid, Zion Williamson, and Jayson Tatum

Another Tuesday night in the NBA which features a five-game slate.  The five games encompass some very good matchups and in what are expected to be close games, the prop market will provide plenty of value.  Tonight’s card features three spots to take advantage of and we will be locking those in using OddsShopper, which will provide both the best line and value on your bets this evening.  Tonight’s best NBA player props feature Joel Embiid, Zion Williamson, and Jayson Tatum.  Three of the premier players in the game at this time are the targets on this slate and although prop plays sometimes revolve around role players, the value tonight lies in the All-Stars.

NBA Player Props for Dec. 13

Joel Embiid Prop: O/U 3.5 Assists

Joel Embiid is a guy who can obviously fill the stat sheet but in this matchup against Sacramento, his assists number at plus money is the focus.  With +118 odds to the over 3.5 assists, this prop becomes one of the most valuable spots on this slate.  Over his last ten games, Embiid has been more involved in the playmaking aspect of his game which has seen him surpass 3.5 assists in eight of his last ten.  Embiid is surpassing 3.5 assists with ease in some of these matchups and over that same ten game sample size, he is averaging six assists per game.  The two games he did not surpass this number resulted in three assist games and if you dig deeper into those two games, Embiid had the potential assists, the shots just did not fall for his teammates.

James Harden is back in the fold for Philadelphia which is the reason this number is at plus money but it’s a spot where the bet is worth the risk in a home game as 4.5-point favorites. OddsShopper gives Embiid a 47% chance at cashing his assists prop tonight but when you are getting it at +118 odds, the ROI provides value.

Zion Williamson Prop: O/U 27.5 Points

For the second prop of the night, Zion Williamson has been on a tear.  When guys get hot it becomes important to look into their next matchup and see whether the run can continue or if they are due for regression which is eventually guaranteed to come.  When looking into the Pelicans opponent tonight in Utah, the Jazz allow 115.9 points per game, ranking in the bottom third of the NBA.  This matchup sees the Pelicans as 1.5-point favorites and the game holds a total of 232.5, which again influences certain players positively in the prop market.  Zion has been next to impossible to defend down low and tonight he just happens to be playing the worst team in the league in defending the paint.  The Utah Jazz are allowing 56.1 points per game in the paint and in Zion’s first game against Utah this season, he scored 25 points in only 29 minuets, which is seven minutes less than he has been averaging recently.

If you have not figured out where we are going with this one, it is to Zion and his over 27.5 points tonight.  The over 27.5 points currently holds +100 odds to the over which returns an 8% ROI on OddsShopper.  With a 54% chance to cash and a great matchup for a hot player, this prop is a no brainer in a game that is expected to be both high scoring and close throughout.

Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Zion Williamson OVER 27.5 Points (+100)

Jayson Tatum Prop: O/U 3.5 Assists

After locking in two overs, we are looking to the under market for Jayson Tatum in Los Angeles tonight.  Similar to Embiid, Tatum also has an assists prop of 3.5 but his under becomes value with +135 odds.  In his last ten games, Tatum has gone under 3.5 assists in eight of them, averaging three per game.  Whether or not this continues remains to be seen but in a game in Los Angeles, expect Tatum to go to his shot before he looks to become a playmaker.  Similar to the two props above, these odds provide bettors with more plus money potential.  Tatum is in the MVP conversation this season but even when you take his season stats beyond the last ten, he is still only averaging four assists per game, which probably should not warrant +135 odds to his under tonight.  Tatum can be heavily involved in this game without surpassing 3.5 assists and because we have seen a few below average appearances from Tatum over the past week, the risk is assuredly worth the reward in this spot.

Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Jayson Tatum UNDER 3.5 Assists (+135)
