Best PrizePicks NBA Props: Fade Zion Williamson After a Monster Opening Night (October 21)

After a small two-game slate on Thursday night, the basketball gods have blessed us with a monster, 11-game slate on Friday. With 11 games in play and good options all over the board, there are a few of spots that bettors take advantage of on PrizePicks. Zion Williamson, Tyrese Haliburton and Tre Jones are all intriguing names on tonight’s slate, let’s see who our experts think are good value for the best PrizePicks NBA Props.

Best PrizePicks NBA Props | October 21

Zion Williamson O/U 24.5 Points

Returning to the court for the first time since the 2020-21 season, Zion looked phenomenal against the Nets, putting up 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals across 30 minutes during Wednesday’s 30-108 win over Brooklyn. After that massive performance on opening night, the Williamson hype train has taken off big time, with bookmakers already adjusting their lines accordingly.

While there’s no doubt Williamson looked fantastic against Brooklyn, his scoring prop is inflated after that massive performance, and the under looks like one of the best spots on the board. It’s rare to find a five-point gap between our projections and PrizePicks, and we project Williamson to score 19.52 points tonight, significantly under PrizePicks current number of 24.5. With the Pelicans having plenty of mouths to feed on offense, including Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum, his PrizePicks point total is just too high and we will take advantage with the under.

Tyrese Haliburton O/U 40.5 Fantasy Points

No longer playing second fiddle to De’Aaron Fox in Sacramento, Tyrese Haliburton is expected to lead the Pacers after Indiana traded Domantas Sabonis to the Kings to acquire him. While Haliburton admits that he wasn’t quite ready to be the guy in Sacramento, he fully acknowledges that he’s ready for that role now.

“Sacramento was great,” Haliburton said. “I wasn’t ready to be a full-time point guard when I got there. Playing with Fox helped. But now this is everything I ever wanted. I get to be the full-time guy. I love this.”

Solid on opening night, putting up 26 points, seven assists and four rebounds in 36 minutes against the Wizards, Haliburton finds himself in a much better spot tonight, matched up with the tanking Spurs at home. Haliburton projects for 41.33 fantasy points, and his PrizePicks prop is close to a point under that. The monster game is coming sooner rather than later for the Iowa State product, and the over is the obvious play in what looks like one of the better spots of the night.

Tre Jones O/U 27.5 Fantasy Points

Opposing Haliburton on the other side of that game, Jones is also in a really good spot against the Pacers, and his fantasy point prop also looks too low. Facing the Hornets on opening night, Jones was solid, if unspectacular, putting up 14 points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes.

Despite losing about five minutes due to the Spurs getting blown out, Jones put up 29.60 fantasy points against the Hornets, easily surpassing PrizePicks number of 27.5. With the Pacers only 2.5 point favorites in a game with a 232.5 point total, Jones’ numbers should only improve, and the over looks like the clear play here.
