WNBA Best Bets Today: Free Picks And Player Props For Monday, July 20
The WNBA best bets today are all player props, and almost all of them are Unders. Four games tip on Monday, July 20, one of the final boards before the league breaks for All-Star weekend, and not one moneyline, spread, or total on that board cleared our fair number. Twelve individual props did.
Here is the thesis before the plays. A Monday this close to a break is a board the books price top-down: they sharpen the sides that take real money, then let the prop lines sit a half-step behind. That is why tonight's value is scattered across role players and secondary stats rather than the games themselves, and it is why the correct posture is shopping rather than side-betting. The edges are real, but they are small, summer prop limits are low, and none of these is a lock. I am going to lead with the number that grades best, walk the math on it so a "+5.3%" edge stops being an abstraction, then grade all four games, including the one that gets no bet at all.

The TL;DR
- The Value Is Entirely On Player Props. Twelve props graded positive across three of the four games. Eleven are Unders and exactly one is an Over.
- Lead Play: Natasha Howard Under 3.5 Assists At -170 (HardRock). Our de-vigged fair price is -197, a +5.3% edge. It is the widest number on the board and one of only two rows clearing five points of value.
- Two More Worth A Real Look. Katie Lou Samuelson Under 5.5 points at -108 (FanDuel) grades +5.0%, and Jade Melbourne Under 3.5 assists at +120 (Bet365) grades +4.8%. Both are Seattle Storm role players.
- Everything From Chelsea Gray Down Is A Smaller Stake. Nine rows grade between +2.7% and +4.5%, and below about 3% it is shop-the-exact-price or pass.
- New York Liberty At Dallas Wings Is A Pass. It is not in tonight's capture at all, so I have no graded number on it and no bet to post.
Odds captured 2026-07-20 at 13:35 UTC. Every fair price below is our own de-vigged number from the OddsShopper live odds screen, which strips the vig out of both sides so you can see what a market is actually worth before you take a price. Summer WNBA props move on thin limits, so confirm every number live before you bet.
The Outlier: Natasha Howard Under 3.5 Assists
Start with the biggest number, because it is the reason this card has a headliner. Natasha Howard is a forward for the Minnesota Lynx, in Seattle tonight for a 10:00 p.m. ET tip at Climate Pledge Arena, and her assists prop is posted at 3.5. Our screen de-vigs that market to a fair price of -197 on the Under, meaning the market itself expects her to finish with three assists or fewer roughly 66% of the time. HardRock is still hanging that same Under at -170.
The gap is the whole play, and the role read behind it is clean. Howard is a frontcourt scorer and rebounder, not a distributor. Minnesota runs its offense through its guards, and with Napheesa Collier out following ankle surgery, the assist line the market is posting on Howard implies the book does not see her becoming the passing hub in Collier's absence. A forward who is being asked to score more is not a forward who is suddenly racking up assists. An assist line of 3.5 asks Howard to do the one thing her role does not emphasize.
Books sharpen this kind of number last: a secondary stat, for a frontcourt player, on a late-window game. One of them has not tightened to where the rest of the market settled, and that works out to a +5.3% edge. When the value tilts this far toward one price, you lead with it and let the rest of the board play a supporting role.
The one number to hold onto: -197. That is our fair price on the Howard Under. HardRock's -170 is nearly thirty cents cheaper than the market's own read, and that spread is what separates the lead play on this slate from the pile of small ones behind it.
Worked Example: What A +5.3% Edge Actually Means
The most useful thing I can do with the lead play is show you the math, because "+5.3%" is abstract until you watch it come together. Value is price against true probability, never price against the name you like, and here the two sit far enough apart to teach on.
What the market believes. Our de-vigged fair price on the Howard Under is -197, which converts to about a 66.3% implied probability once you strip the vig out of both sides. The market thinks the Under cashes about two times in three.
What the price demands. At the takeable -170, you risk $170 to win $100, so you break even at 63.0%. Set the two side by side: the fair number gives you 66.3%, the price asks for 63.0%. Three and a third points of daylight, all of it running your way.
What that pays. Feed 66.3% through a -170 payout and the Under carries about five cents of expected value on every dollar risked, a +5.3% edge and the best number on the board. The case is not that Howard is a poor passer. The case is that -170 is a cheaper price than her own market says the Under is worth. Call it what it is, +EV, and understand it is the only reason to bet it.

Why Two Injuries Are Doing Most Of The Work Tonight
That Howard read only holds because of something happening off the floor, which is the part most WNBA pick pages skip entirely. They will give you a line and a sentence. They will not tell you who is not playing, and in this league that is usually the whole story.
Two absences shape tonight's priced board. Collier being out for Minnesota is the one behind the lead play, and it does more than remove a scorer. It redistributes who initiates offense, and the market has adjusted the headline scoring lines faster than it has adjusted the secondary passing and rebounding lines underneath them.
The second is Ezi Magbegor, out for Seattle with a facial fracture. That absence is why four of tonight's twelve rows belong to Storm role players. When a team loses a frontcourt starter, the instinct is to bet the replacement's counting stats up. The board says the opposite happened here: Seattle still has Dominique Malonga absorbing interior minutes and rebounds, so the players around her have not inherited the production a naive read would hand them. Awa Fam Under 5.5 rebounds at -120 against a fair -131 is that idea priced, a +4.0% edge on a player the market has bumped a little too far.
The read behind Seattle's four rows: when a frontcourt starter goes out, the market's first move is to bump the replacement's counting stats. Tonight it bumped the Storm's past what those roles actually support, and four of our twelve edges sit on the other side of that one overcorrection. The other eight are separate reads: two more Lynx rows in this same game, and six spread across Toronto and Golden State.
This is also the honest limit of what I will claim. We do not have a WNBA stats feed wired into our screen, so every role read on this page is qualitative. The numbers I am quoting are market numbers, nothing else. Where I do not have a figure, I am not going to invent one.
The Rest Of The Card: Seattle's Role Players And A Blowout Risk In Toronto
Two more prices clear numbers I would act on before the board turns into pure shopping, and both come from that same Lynx-Storm game. Katie Lou Samuelson Under 5.5 points is takeable at -108 (FanDuel) against a fair -120, a +5.0% edge. Jade Melbourne Under 3.5 assists sits at +120 (Bet365) against a fair +110, worth +4.8%. Both are Storm rotation pieces with scoring and playmaking lines set on the assumption that Magbegor's absence lifts everyone around her, and both are being asked to clear bars their roles do not naturally reach.
Then there is Toronto, where the read is a different one entirely. Las Vegas is a heavy road favorite at Coca-Cola Coliseum, and a heavy favorite on a board this close to a break is a blowout risk, not just a likely winner. Blowouts are how Overs die. Starters sit the fourth quarter, and the counting stats everyone modeled on full minutes never arrive.
Frame the Aces props that way and Chelsea Gray carries two of them. Her Under 1.5 three-pointers at +105 (HardRock) grades +4.5% against a fair -104, the best of the Toronto rows. Her Under 7.5 assists at -125 (HardRock) grades +2.8% against a fair -133. Gray is Las Vegas's primary distributor, so a 7.5 assist line is a fair ask on a full night of minutes. It is a much harder ask if the fourth quarter gets away from the starters and she never sees it. Notice the Gray three-point Under is priced at plus money while our fair number is minus money. The market is paying you a favorite's probability at an underdog's price, which is the single cleanest shape a value bet can take.
The Rematch At Chase Center: Washington At Golden State
The third priced game is the one nobody is circling, and it still produced two mid-card edges. Washington visits Golden State at Chase Center for a quick rematch, the same two teams having played on Saturday, and both of tonight's edges there are Mystics.
Sonia Citron Under 3.5 assists is takeable at -165 (HardRock) against a fair -186, a +4.5% edge. Kiki Iriafen Under 13.5 points sits at -115 (HardRock) against a fair -125, worth +3.9%. Both are secondary-stat lines on players the market knows well, and a same-week rematch is exactly the spot where books lean on the last meeting's box score rather than repricing from scratch. When two teams play twice in three days, the second set of prop lines tends to be the first set nudged, and a nudge is not a re-think.
Worth naming what this game is not: a blowout story. The Toronto read above hangs on Las Vegas running away from a game, and no gameline in tonight's capture tells me anything of the kind about this one. These two Unders are role reads, not minutes reads, and I would not stretch them into a fourth-quarter argument I do not have the number to make.
The Full July 20 WNBA Board, Graded
Below is every positive-EV player prop our July 20 capture returned across the slate, sorted by edge. Eleven are Unders and one is an Over. All twelve grade positive, but read the edge column top to bottom and you can see where "bet it" turns into "only at this exact price." Confirm each line live before you act.

| Mystics @ Valkyries | Kiki Iriafen Under 13.5 pts | -115 (HardRock) | -125 | +3.9% | Shop only |

| Lynx @ Storm | Nia Coffey Under 5.5 reb | -135 (Bet365) | -144 | +2.7% | Shop only |
| Lynx @ Storm | Katie Lou Samuelson Over 2.5 reb | +165 (HardRock) | +158 | +2.7% | Shop only |
The row I keep coming back to is the last one, because it is the same player as the second row. Katie Lou Samuelson's points prop grades an Under at +5.0% and her rebounds prop grades an Over at +2.7%, and both are correct at the same time. Call it the callback to the Storm read: when a frontcourt starter is out, you do not blanket-bet a role player up or down. You find the specific stat the market moved too far and take the other side of that one. Samuelson is being priced to score more than her role supports and rebound less. Two different directions, one player, one night.
Two more things that table is telling you. There is not a single game line on it, because no moneyline, spread, or total cleared fair in tonight's capture, so this is a prop card and I am not going to manufacture a side to look complete. And only three of the four games appear at all.
The Pass: New York Liberty At Dallas Wings
The fourth game on tonight's slate is New York at Dallas, 8:00 p.m. ET, and it is not on the card. It is not in tonight's capture at all, so I have no graded number on any market in it: no side, no total, no player prop. I am not telling you the value failed to clear there. I am telling you I never priced it, which is a different and more honest statement.
A decision, not an omission. The instinct on a four-game Monday is to find something in every window, and it is the instinct that turns a disciplined card into a full board of coin flips.
Why the pass gets its own heading: a game you decided not to bet is information. Writing it down is what stops you from talking yourself into it at 7:55. If a Liberty-Wings number shows up before tip and grades out, it can earn its way onto the card. Right now there is nothing to grade.
How To Bet A Board Like This
Look at where the edge lived tonight: not on a side, not on a total, and not in the game most people will actually turn on. It lived on twelve props, eleven of them Unders, spread across three games and clustered on players who are not the reason anyone is watching. The distribution itself is the instruction.
When value shows up on props instead of sides, the books have spent their attention on the high-limit markets and left the low-limit lines a step behind. You do not beat that slate by betting more of it. You beat it by shopping harder and sizing honestly.
- Watch The Correlation Before You Watch The Edge. Three of tonight's twelve rows are the same bet wearing different names: the Storm frontcourt overcorrection, priced three ways. If that read is wrong, Samuelson's points, Melbourne's assists and Fam's rebounds do not lose independently. They lose together. Samuelson's rebounds Over is the exception, because it sits on the other side of that same read and partly offsets the cluster rather than adding to it. Eleven Unders pointing the same direction is not eleven confirmations of a thesis, and sizing those three as if they were separate bets is how a card like this quietly turns into one oversized position. Size the cluster, not the row.
- Shop The Number Or Skip The Row. Most of this board only clears fair at one book. Gray's three-point Under is +4.5% at +105 on HardRock and only about +2% at even money, so a few cents of drift turns a play into a shop-or-skip. Below roughly 3%, take the listed price or pass, the same call I made on Friday's board and again on Saturday's. And protect a bankroll by sizing to the edge rather than to the name attached to it.
- If You Want A Ticket, Price It Before You Place It. This is where the correlation bites hardest. Combining small-edge props only helps if the combined number still clears fair, and three Storm Unders in one parlay are not three independent legs no matter what the ticket says they pay. Run any build through the parlay builder first, the way my WNBA parlay for Monday walks that exact process. When my own card has plays on it, it lives on Tails.
The honest July 20 card is one clear outlier, two supporting plays, a long tail of shop-only props, and one game left alone entirely. That is a fine night as long as you bet it like what it is. The mistake is treating a +2.7% row like the +5.3% one, or forcing a side into the Liberty game because a prop card feels too quiet to count. The value is here. It is just small, it is nearly all pointing the same direction, and a board this close to a break is exactly when that discipline is worth the most.
FAQ
What are the best WNBA bets today, July 20? The single best bet is Natasha Howard Under 3.5 assists at -170 (HardRock), which grades to a +5.3% edge against our de-vigged fair price of -197. It is the widest edge on tonight's board, and one of only two rows clearing five points. Behind it, Katie Lou Samuelson Under 5.5 points at -108 (FanDuel, +5.0%) and Jade Melbourne Under 3.5 assists at +120 (Bet365, +4.8%) are the two other prices worth a real look. Everything else grades positive but sits at +4.5% or lower, so shop the exact number or pass.
Why are almost all of tonight's WNBA picks Unders? Eleven of the twelve props that cleared our fair number are Unders, with Katie Lou Samuelson Over 2.5 rebounds the lone exception. The board leans that way because that is where the value fell, not because we went looking for it. Four of those Unders trace to one thing, Seattle's frontcourt absence pushing role-player lines further than the roles justify; the rest are separate reads in the other two games. Chasing the other side just to feel balanced is how you give the edge back.
Are there any WNBA game-line bets today? Not from us tonight. No moneyline, spread, or total cleared fair in the July 20 capture, so the card is player props only. Posting a game line we do not have a graded number on would be inventing a bet rather than finding one.
Which WNBA game should I skip tonight? New York Liberty at Dallas Wings. It is not in tonight's capture at all, so I have no graded number on any market in that game and nothing I would post a bet on. Passing a game is a position, and on a four-game board it is often the most profitable one you will take.
How should I bet a card of small edges like this? Size to the edge and shop the price. The +5.3% play gets a normal summer-prop stake, the +5.0% and +4.8% rows get most of one, and the sub-3% rows get a small stake or a skip if the listed book is unavailable. Standard bankroll discipline matters more on a night like this than on a slate with one obvious side, because the temptation is to over-bet a dozen tiny edges into one large mistake.
