Mbappe and France to Keep Rolling

The first World Cup bet is for Kylian Mbappe to score and France to win, with odds of +140. This play has hit in France’s first two World Cup matches, against Australia and Denmark in Group D. Now, Les Bleus square off against Tunisia, which might be peskier than some thought before the tournament. The Africa nation has been expected to concede one goal per match, and actually only conceding one so far.

France just seems on another level, one far beyond what Tunisia can reach. This especially rings true when considering the fact that Tunisia cannot go further without opening up and playing more offensively. Nonetheless, France has scored six goals in two games and has responded with a goal each time it has conceded. This is an unexpected resilience without N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba in the midfield.

Mbappe has scored three goals in what seems like a probable Golden Boot campaign for the 23-year-old. This could be a stat-padding opportunity for the PSG forward, who is averaging 0.94 non-penalty goals per 90 and has 12 goals in just 10 games for the national team. Not to slight Tunisia, but it does not have much of a chance in this one.

Final France-Tunisia Pick: Mbappe to score + France to win (+140, DraftKings)

World Cup Odds: Poland-Argentina Odds

Poland Moneyline +750
Argentina Moneyline -225
Draw Moneyline +330

Argentina to Hold Poland to Nil

The second World Cup bet is in favor of Argentina to hold a clean sheet against Poland in Group C, with odds of -130. Extend the value of this bet by choosing Argentina to win to nil, but this is a safer play, just in case there is a draw. Argentina has held seven clean sheets in its past 10 games, and Poland has been held to a goose egg in three of its past six.

More impressively, Argentina has held its opponents to just 0.4 expected goals. This conveys how well Argentina can hold attacks to difficult chances. Against Saudi Arabia it was caught out, but many would deem Argentina unlucky because of the threat on goal those attempts actually possessed. Though Poland’s Robert Lewandowski is a world-class striker, favor the Argentina back line to keep him quiet.

Final Poland-Argentina Pick: Argentina clean sheet (-130, DraftKings)

World Cup Odds: Saudi Arabia-Mexico Odds

Saudi Arabia Moneyline +380
Mexico Moneyline -145
Draw Moneyline +310

Location Lusail Stadium, Lusail, Qatar

Saudi Arabia-Mexico to Stay Under 2.5 Goals

Finally, ride with under 2.5 total goals in Saudi Arabia-Mexico in Group C. In their 31 combined matches in 2022, the over on this total has hit only 22.6% of the time. Moreover, in four combined World Cup games, they have only been expected to score 2.8 goals, a mark they have still seemed to underperform.

Despite this being Matchday 3, expect this game to be an absolute snoozer. Saudi Arabia does not need a win as badly as Mexico does, especially if Poland can pull off an upset against Argentina. Additionally, Saudi Arabia is an extremely difficult side to break down. Mexico seems inept of offensive creativity at the moment, which just seems like a combination perfect to fade the over.

Final Saudi Arabia-Mexico Pick: Under 2.5 goals (-110, DraftKings)
