Landon Dickerson went on Philadelphia radio Monday, said he played terribly, and was put on injured reserve while he was still on the air. He did not know it. That line cannot get worse than it was against Washington, and on the other side is a Tennessee offense that could not move the ball against the Jets. If you just want the pick, it is at the bottom.

The spread has held at 7. On Kalshi there is no contract at exactly seven; Philadelphia winning by seven or more sits between the 6.5 contract at 54 to 55 cents and the 7.5 at 47 to 48. The money is 93% of DraftKings' spread tickets and 94% of the handle on the Eagles, and the under holds 71% of the money at 39.5, the lowest total on the board.

The Eagles Won Ugly, And The Deep Ball Was Fine
Philadelphia beat Washington 24-22 as a 6-point favorite and did not cover. Jalen Hurts took three sacks and five hits, scrambled seven times, and was out of the pocket a quarter of the time. Washington had 10 tackles for loss to Philadelphia's two. The offense had a 35% success rate. The deep ball was on point anyway: 2 of 4 on 20-plus air yards for 95, and the three completions of 20 or more went for 64, 43 and 31. Dallas Goedert caught 4 for 77 and two touchdowns.
Saquon Barkley got stuffed a lot and still broke one, 5.5 a carry, 6.0 for the team. The defense allowed one completion of 20 or more and 6.0 a carry. Cooper DeJean had a bad day and did not practice Wednesday; Jalen Carter did not practice either, and that is the one that would matter.
Cam Ward Cannot Throw It Downfield Right Now
Tennessee lost 23-10 to the Jets. Ward went 19 of 32 for 140 at a 5.9-yard average depth with zero completions of 20 or more and three sacks. The Titans ran the ball 14 times all game and threw 71% of the time in neutral situations. The defense got no sacks and one hit on Geno Smith, allowed four completions of 20-plus, and gave up both deep balls it faced.
Could Ward be good one day? Maybe. Not right now. The run game is going to have a hard time against this Eagles front, and then he has to deal with Quinyon Mitchell and a linebacking group that had a great game. Ward's line about there being more of a game plan this week read as a shot at the fired head coach, which tells you where that building is.
Fourteen Points Might Cover
If Tennessee could not move the ball against the Jets' defense, I do not see how it does against Philadelphia's, which has elite talent on the line, in the secondary and at linebacker. The Eagles could score 14 and still cover this number. You hope that is not how it goes, but it is possible.
The only soft spot is Philadelphia's run defense at 6.0 a carry allowed, and Tennessee did not use its run game last week. Hurts' deep ball against a pass rush that produced zero sacks is where the Eagles' points come from.
The Number I'd Take
Eagles -7.On Kalshi, the nearest contract is the Eagles winning by eight or more at 47 to 48 cents, which loses on a seven-point win where the spread pushes.
I am not betting this game, but the pick is the Eagles. I am not betting the total either; 39.5 is low because Philadelphia's own success rate was 35%.
What Moves The Number From Here
- Jalen Carter. Did not practice Wednesday. Tennessee's only path is the run game, and he is the reason it does not have one.
- Cooper DeJean. Did not practice. Ward has no downfield game to take advantage yet, but Calvin Ridley against the replacement is the one matchup to watch if he sits.
- Heat in Nashville. Feels like 93. The team with the deeper defensive line rotation is Philadelphia.
- Philadelphia's interior line. Whoever replaces Dickerson at left guard is the first number to check on the Friday report.
