Kalshi prices and sportsbook lines as of Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
You guys know I love taking Cleveland at home. Usually we are taking Cleveland at home at plus eight. This is plus two and a half, against a quarterback who looks too good right now, and I am laying the points: Panthers -2.5.
Kickoff: Sunday, September 27, 1:00 PM ET, Huntington Bank Field
The Game Lines

Ranks out of 32 through Week 2 of 2026, nflverse play-by-play. Run game = EPA per carry, passing = EPA per dropback, protection = sacks-plus-hits rate against pressure rate, explosive = rate of completions of 20-plus. O = that offense has the edge, D = the defense does.
Panthers, best: passing yards (1st), scoring (2nd), pass defense efficiency (7th). Worst: rushing efficiency (26th), rushing yards (25th), run defense yards (32nd).
Browns, best: ypa (6th), success rate (14th), pass defense yards (14th). Worst: ypc (32nd), rushing yards (31st), explosive runs allowed (32nd).
Bryce Young Looks Really Good
Carolina won 34-3 in Atlanta as a 2.5-point favorite. Bryce Young was 23 of 36 for 287 and three touchdowns, 5 of 6 on throws of 20-plus air yards for 161 yards, with a completion rate 12 points over expected and zero interception-worthy throws. Tetairoa McMillan caught 5 of 10 for 101, Jalen Coker 8 of 9 for 66, Xavier Legette a 55-yarder. Coker is an incredible complement to McMillan and the run game is decent, even with Jonathon Brooks out (abdomen).
The defense forced five turnovers and allowed zero completions of 20-plus, sending five-plus rushers 44% of the time. A five-turnover day is not repeating, and Carolina has been a road favorite once since 2024. The case is the quarterback, and the quarterback is the best he has looked in the league.
Say What You Want About Him Off The Field
Cleveland won 23-19 in Tampa as an 8.5-point underdog, through a 132-minute lightning delay both teams had to sit through. Deshaun Watson played well: 24 of 30 for 238, two touchdowns, a 3.6-yard average depth with zero deep attempts, a high completion rate, and a willingness to run (five carries for 24). His vision was better than the week before. Denzel Boston caught 5 for 95 and a touchdown, and Harold Fannin Jr. made a few acrobatic grabs to move the chains. There are young pass-catchers here who can make a difference; KC Concepcion has not done much yet, but he is an early pick.
The run game did nothing (2.2 a carry, Quinshon Judkins 12 for 21), and the defense allowed three completions of 20-plus including a 49-yarder to Tez Johnson while holding Tampa to 39% success. Cleveland is 7-6 as a home dog since 2024. We are talking about betting, and Watson deserved the praise last week. Young deserves more right now.
Are You Back In The Browns
The more definitive, clearer path to a win belongs to Carolina: a quarterback hitting deep balls against a secondary that gave up three chunk plays to Baker Mayfield, and a run defense that allowed 4.9 a carry against a Cleveland run game at 2.2. Let me know if you are back in the Browns this week. It will be a fun one to watch no matter how ugly it is.
The Pick
Panthers -2.5.On Kalshi, that is Carolina winning by three or more, 52 to 53 cents.
Cleveland at home is usually my side. Not at this number, not against this version of Young.
Injury Report
- Jonathon Brooks (CAR). Out, abdomen. Chuba Hubbard carries it; the run game was 3.4 a carry with him last week anyway.
- Cleveland's pass rush. Two sacks and four hits on Mayfield sending five-plus rushers 21% of the time. Young took six hits from Atlanta.
- Denzel Boston and Harold Fannin Jr. The young targets Watson found last week; Boston's 95 yards led the team.
- Weather. Upper 60s, wind around 10 off the lake, dry.
My picks for the rest of Week 3 are in NFL Week 3 Predictions for Every Game.
Nothing here is financial advice.
