Polymarket GTA 6: What The Market Says About The Release Date
Ask a news article when GTA 6 is coming out and you get a date: November 19, 2026, the day Rockstar Games announced last November. Ask a prediction market the same question and you get something better, a full probability distribution with real money behind every rung of it. GTA 6 release-date markets now trade on both regulated US exchanges, including Polymarket US, and the striking thing about them is not any single number. It is the shape. The market has priced this question as a cliff, not a countdown, and by the end of this page you will know why one specific rung of that cliff, the December one, quietly says the most about how traders expect a Rockstar delay to behave.
The Quick Answer
Yes, Polymarket lists GTA 6 markets, but only on Polymarket US, the CFTC-regulated exchange whose app is the one US residents can actually fund; the global polymarket.com site is view-only in the United States. When we walked the open catalog on August 11, 2026, Polymarket US carried GTA 6 release-date markets keyed to November 19, 2026, which is Rockstar's announced date, and to December 31, 2026. The clearest public read of the question sits on Kalshi's ladder, and Polymarket US lists the same November contract: a release before November is priced at a cent or two, essentially off the board, while GTA 6 arriving before December sits in the mid-80s in cents, roughly an 86% chance. The full board, how a release-date contract actually settles, and the one detail in the price shape most coverage misses are all below.
Which Polymarket Actually Lists GTA 6
Every question about "Polymarket GTA 6" has to start with which Polymarket, because there are two and the difference is not cosmetic. Polymarket US is run by QCX LLC as a CFTC-regulated exchange and clearing operation, with its own app and its own market catalog. Global Polymarket, the polymarket.com everyone screenshots, is a separate operation that US users can look at but cannot deposit into. If you are in the United States and you want to trade a GTA 6 contract rather than just read about one, the US app is the venue, and the two catalogs do not automatically mirror each other. We keep a standing guide to which Polymarket you are actually using, and a plain walkthrough of how Polymarket works if the whole structure is new to you.
Disclosure, because it belongs next to the venue talk rather than in a footer: OddsShopper has a paid affiliate relationship with Polymarket US and carries its sign-up offer elsewhere on this site; we have no affiliate or commercial relationship with Kalshi. This page carries no offer for either venue. Read our venue descriptions with those incentives in mind.
What Is Actually Listed Right Now
On Polymarket US, our August 11 walk of the open catalog found GTA 6 release-date markets built around the two dates that matter: November 19, 2026 and December 31, 2026. That walk was partial, an enumeration that stopped partway through a catalog of more than ten thousand open markets, so treat two as a floor rather than a census, and check the app for the current list before you rely on it.
Kalshi, the other regulated US exchange, runs the deeper GTA 6 book, and because its data is public we can show you the whole ladder, re-read from the exchange's public API as of August 11, 2026 (bid–ask, yes side):
| Contract (GTA 6 Released...) | Yes price (Aug 11, 2026) | Implied chance |
|---|---|---|
| Before September 2026 | 0–1¢ | about 1% |
| Before October 2026 | 0–1¢ | about 1% |
| Before November 2026 | 1–2¢ | about 2% |
| Before December 2026 | 86–87¢ | about 86% |
| Before January 2027 | 85–86¢ | about 86% |
| Before July 2027 | 96–97¢ | about 96% |
| Before January 2028 | 98–99¢ | about 98% |
The rows to stare at are the two mid-80s ones. "Before December 2026" and "before January 2027" trade a cent apart, overlapping bid to ask, which means the market assigns almost nothing to a December release. Hold that thought for one section.
The release-date ladder is also where the money is: about 1.7 million contracts have traded on that series alone, with roughly 20,000 changing hands in the 24 hours before our read. Around it sits a small entertainment complex, nearly 1.95 million GTA contracts in total. There is a two-market book on when Rockstar's next GTA 6 trailer drops, priced at 45¢ to arrive before September and 61¢ before October, an implied 45% and 61%, and a 14-song board on what makes the GTA 6 soundtrack, where nothing is priced above the mid-40s in cents. A few other GTA series, on launch price and preorders among others, exist on the exchange but have zero open markets today, so nothing there is tradeable as this is written. These prices move on a single Rockstar press release, so treat every number on this page as a photograph of August 11, not a live feed.
The Price Is A Cliff, Not A Countdown
Here is the promised payoff, and it comes straight from the two delays Rockstar has already taken. GTA 6 was originally aimed at fall 2025, moved to May 26, 2026, and then in November 2025 moved again to November 19, 2026. Both slips were measured in months, not weeks. Traders have learned that lesson and built it into the shape of the ladder.
Look at the cliff first. Every rung before November trades at a cent or two, which is the market saying a surprise early release is not a thing Rockstar does; nobody who follows this company disagrees. So the entire 2026 question compresses into a single bet: does November 19 hold? That 86¢ is not "GTA 6 in 2026" as an abstraction; it is the market's confidence in one specific launch window, a price that reads directly as a probability of about 86%.
Now the rung I keep coming back to. If delays behaved like traffic, slipping a few weeks at a time, a November miss would often land in December, and "before January 2027" would trade meaningfully above "before December 2026." It does not. The two contracts sit a cent apart, their bid–ask ranges overlapping, because the market remembers that both previous slips were roughly six months. In the market's read, either November 19 holds or the date jumps deep into 2027. The 96–97¢ on "before July 2027" completes the picture: of the roughly 14 cents of doubt about this year, most of it lands in the first half of next year, and only a few cents of probability live beyond that. A news article can tell you the date. Only the market tells you the shape of the doubt, and the shape says: if it breaks, it breaks big. The shape of the doubt is the honest, useful thing an exchange adds here, and it is all this page claims; whether those prices are right is a judgment we leave to our full read on the date, where an AI panel scores the November question against the market head-on.
A Worked Example: How The November Contract Settles
The mechanics are the easy part, and they are the same on both venues in substance. A release-date contract is a yes/no question with a deadline. Walk through the November one: if Rockstar releases GTA 6 before December 1, 2026, the contract settles yes and pays $1; miss the window and it settles no, at zero. Buy "before December 2026" at its 87¢ ask and you are risking 87¢ to collect $1 on an on-time launch, a 13¢ profit before fees, which is what a roughly 86% implied chance costs once the spread is paid. The other side of the same market asks about 14¢, an implied 14%, and pays $1 if the date slips past November 30. If translating cents into sportsbook pricing helps, we keep a full explainer on reading Polymarket prices as American odds, and the fee side of the trade has its own breakdown.
Two cautions belong here. First, the cheap rungs are seductive in a specific way: selling an unlikely outcome, or buying its no side, collects pennies while risking most of a dollar, and one bad settlement can hand back the premiums from many quiet wins. That arithmetic, not any hit rate, is what makes position sizing the whole game in event markets, and it deserves a moment of respect before anyone touches a 2¢ contract. Second, the settlement rules are written, not vibes: what counts as "released," which platforms count, and what happens in the odd scenarios are defined in the contract's rules text, and disputed settlements have a formal process rather than a comment section. Read the rules before trading, because "everyone knows what release means" is exactly the sentence that precedes losing a dispute. The fine print already matters in practice: Rockstar's announced platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC date announced, so how a contract treats a platform-specific launch is a live question, not a technicality.
Polymarket GTA 6 FAQ
What GTA 6 odds does Polymarket have? Release-date markets keyed to November 19, 2026 and December 31, 2026 were live on Polymarket US when we walked its catalog on August 11, 2026. To find them, search the Polymarket US app itself rather than polymarket.com, since the two catalogs differ and the global site cannot be funded from the US anyway. The deeper public board sits on Kalshi, where "before December 2026" bid 86¢ the same day, and prices on both venues move on any Rockstar announcement.
Has GTA 6 been delayed again? As of this writing, no. November 19, 2026 stands, and the cliff shape above is exactly what "no delay, but a memory of two of them" looks like in prices: roughly 86% on the November window, almost nothing on December. A dedicated market trades on another slip, and we track it separately in our page on whether GTA 6 gets delayed again.
Can you bet on GTA 6 at a sportsbook? No. US sportsbooks do not offer video game release markets. The GTA 6 question trades only on regulated event exchanges, which is part of why these contracts have become the reference price everyone quotes, including the Game of the Year market where GTA 6 already features.
The Shape To Take With You
Strip this page to one idea and it is the cliff: pennies before November, mid-80s by December, barely a cent more through January, mid-90s by the middle of next year. The market is not counting down to a date, it is pricing the character of a studio, one that never ships early and never slips small. That is what an exchange gives you that a headline cannot, and it is the same discipline of reading prices instead of narratives that runs through everything in our research log on how these markets work, and through our ranked guide to the best prediction market platforms if you are choosing a venue.
The same habit earns its keep in sports markets every day, where our analysts publish free expert picks with no account required. And if you want the price-reading done for you, OddsShopper compares prices across every major sportsbook automatically so you can see when a number is out of line with the market's fair price. You can try it free for a week, and code GTADATE20 takes 20% off your first payment of OS Pro or OS Core if you stay.
Disclosure and fine print. Stokastic trades prediction markets and holds positions in them, including the Kalshi weather markets covered in our public research log. We have no affiliate or commercial relationship with Kalshi; we are a paid affiliate partner of Polymarket US, disclosed above where the venues are discussed, and this page carries no offer for either exchange. Event contracts on regulated exchanges are CFTC-regulated derivatives, not sportsbook wagers, and a position can lose its full value; selling an unlikely outcome collects a small premium while risking most of a dollar, which is why the asymmetric payoff has its own page. Kalshi operates with broad, state-specific availability under federal oversight; 18+, eligibility and availability vary and change. Every price on this page is a snapshot from August 11, 2026. Nothing here is trading advice, a pick, or a recommendation to enter any market.
