Kalshi prices and sportsbook lines as of Thursday, September 17, 2026. DraftKings betting splits as of Thursday evening; Friday's final injury reports were not out when this was written.
Minnesota allowed 32 completions of 20 or more yards all of last season, the fewest in the league. It allowed seven in Week 1. Brian Flores sent five or more rushers on 80% of Green Bay's dropbacks and hit Jordan Love 15 times, and the Vikings still gave up 387 passing yards. That contradiction is this whole game. If you just want the pick, it is at the bottom.
The Game Lines
Kalshi in cents, bid and ask. Sportsbook column is the consensus line.
| Line | Kalshi | Sportsbooks |
|---|---|---|
| Spread: Bears Win By 5 Or More | 48-49¢ | Bears −4.5 |
| Total: Over 48.5 Points | 48-49¢ | 48.5 |
| Moneyline: Bears Win | 65-66¢ | Bears -205 / Vikings +170 |
The spread has come down from 5.5 to 4.5 since Tuesday, which I like. On Kalshi, the Bears winning by five or more is 48 to 49 cents. DraftKings has 68% of spread tickets and 68% of the money on the Bears, and the over is 80% of tickets and 93% of the money at 48.5. Rain is in the Chicago forecast at 62%, which is the argument against that over money.
Tale of the Tape

Fifteen Hits On Love, And Seven Bombs Allowed
The Vikings beat Green Bay 39-22 with 29 unanswered points after Kyler Murray left with a concussion. Carson Wentz threw three touchdowns in relief, 12 of 20 for 135, seven points under expected completion. The offense had a 36% success rate and 3.55 a carry but went 8 of 14 on third down, and Justin Jefferson caught 8 of 10 targets for 92 and two scores.
The defense was two things at once. Four sacks, 15 hits, an Andrew Van Ginkel strip-sack, a Blake Cashman tipped pick, and 3.14 a carry allowed with a 24% stuff rate. And seven completions of 20-plus: Christian Watson for 81 and 32, Tucker Kraft for 30 and 23, Jonnu Smith for 43, Matthew Golden for 42 and 20. When Love was under pressure it was bad for Green Bay. When he was not, it was bad for Minnesota.
Fifty-Nine Points Against A Defense That Is Not This One
Chicago put up 59 and 552 yards in Carolina, the highest-scoring opener in league history. Caleb Williams went 21 of 29 for 269 and two touchdowns at 17 points over expected completion, 3 of 5 on deep balls for 97, and ran 10 times for 65 and two more scores. Swift 18 for 124 and three, Monangai 10 for 100 and one, 7.46 a carry as a team, 10 of 14 on third down. Ben Johnson still said there were things he did not love.
Carolina's defense is not Minnesota's. The Panthers cannot generate this kind of pressure, and Chicago's own defense gave up 0.18 EPA a play and five completions of 20 or more to Bryce Young. If Flores gets to Williams the way he got to Love, the Bears are not scoring 59. Williams was hit three times all game in Carolina.
The Line Is Why I Lean Chicago
Green Bay's offensive line was a row of turnstiles and Matt LaFleur is already talking about changes after one week. Chicago's line is better, and if it holds up the way I think it can, the Bears win this by a touchdown or more at home. Wentz is a backup with no mobility and an injury history, and Murray was still in the protocol Wednesday. I do not expect Aaron Jones or Jordan Mason to get much going against that front either.
The honest caveat: if the line does not hold, Minnesota can win this outright. That is the risk in laying 4.5 against a Flores defense, and it is why the number came down a point.
The Number I'd Take
Bears -4.5.On Kalshi, that is the Bears winning by five or more, 48 to 49 cents.
I am not betting the total. Rain and a Flores pass rush are two reasons the 48.5 is high, and the over money is already 93% of the handle.
What Moves The Number From Here
- Kyler Murray. Limited Wednesday in the concussion protocol. Murray gives Minnesota mobility Wentz does not; the spread moves toward the Vikings if he clears.
- Darnell Wright. Chicago's right tackle did not practice. The whole read is the Bears' line holding against Flores.
- Grady Jarrett. Did not practice for Chicago. Minnesota's run game was 3.55 a carry with him on the other side.
- Rain at Soldier Field. 62% and a third of an inch. Wet ball, fewer deep shots, more runs. That is a total move first.
My picks for the rest of Week 2 are in NFL Week 2 Predictions for Every Game.
Nothing here is financial advice.
