Kalshi prices and sportsbook lines as of Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Both teams are 0-2 and desperate. The Colts had every chance to win in Kansas City and took it to overtime; the Texans lost at home to Cincinnati without Nico Collins, and it looks like they will not have him again. You are giving me a divisional home dog at +3 with the other side's alpha receiver more than likely out. Colts +3.
Kickoff: Sunday, September 27, 1:00 PM ET, Lucas Oil Stadium
The Game Lines
Kalshi in cents, bid and ask. Sportsbook column is the consensus line.
| Line | Kalshi | Sportsbooks |
|---|---|---|
| Spread: Texans Win By 3 Or More | 52-53¢ | Texans −3 |
| Total: Over 42.5 Points | 50-51¢ | 42.5 |
| Moneyline: Texans Win | 58-59¢ | Texans -148 / Colts +124 |
Houston is a 3-point road favorite. On Kalshi, the Texans winning by three or more is 52 to 53 cents, and Houston to win outright is 58 to 59, about -140. The over at 42.5 is 50 to 51 cents. Houston has lost the last two in this series as a favorite by a field goal or less.
Where The Edges Are

| Colts explosive plays vs Texans big-play D | 32nd | 26th | Colts O |
Ranks out of 32 through Week 2 of 2026, nflverse play-by-play. Run game = EPA per carry, passing = EPA per dropback, protection = sacks-plus-hits rate against pressure rate, explosive = rate of completions of 20-plus. O = that offense has the edge, D = the defense does.
Texans, best: passing yards (4th), explosive passes (14th), success rate allowed (3rd). Worst: ypc (29th), rushing yards (28th), explosive passes allowed (32nd).
Colts, best: explosive runs (1st), rushing efficiency (2nd), explosive passes allowed (21st). Worst: passing efficiency (29th), ypa (28th), points allowed (32nd).
Daniel Jones Looked Far Better, And Maybe He Is Back
Indianapolis lost 33-30 in overtime in Kansas City and covered +6. Jonathan Taylor ran 24 times for 92 and two touchdowns, Daniel Jones was 22 of 31 for 210 with a pick and zero sacks, and Josh Downs caught 7 for 72. The Colts used play-action on 48% of dropbacks, the highest rate on the slate, and Jones looked far better than he did in Week 1. Shane Steichen's overtime decisions are the reason they lost, and that is a separate rant.
The defense is the problem, which is not what you should see when you have Charvarius Ward and gave up a haul for Sauce Gardner. Indianapolis allowed 5.2 a carry, five completions of 20-plus and a 55% success rate, and it allows 0.27 EPA per play for the season, worst in the league. Both missed so much time last year that you expect them to gel as the season goes. Alec Pierce (heel) is doubtful.
Almost 300 Yards To Nobody
Houston lost 20-6 at home to Cincinnati as a 3-point favorite, its third straight non-cover. C.J. Stroud threw 53 times for 353 with no touchdowns and a completion rate eight points under expected; it was amazing he got to almost 300 given the pass-catchers he had. Dalton Schultz caught 12 of 14 for 140. The offense went 5 of 17 on third down, averaged 3.3 a carry with a 33% stuff rate, and took four sacks and seven hits. Nico Collins (Grade 1 hamstring) may miss a second straight game, and there is no competent option behind him.
The defense gave up four completions of 20-plus, three to Tee Higgins, but it got five sacks and nine hits on Burrow sending five-plus rushers only 18% of the time. Against a Jones who has been sacked zero times in two games, that rush is Houston's case.
Why The Plus Three
Because both teams are equally desperate and one of them is at home in a divisional spot as a field-goal dog, with its running back and a quarterback who just played his best game, against an offense missing its only alpha receiver. That is the spot I will take.
The Pick
Colts +3.On Kalshi, that is Houston not winning by three or more, 47 to 48 cents.
A must-win for both. The home team with the healthier skill group gets the points.
Injury Report
- Nico Collins (HOU). Grade 1 hamstring, questionable, likely out a second week. Schultz becomes the offense again.
- Alec Pierce (IND). Heel, doubtful. Downs and Tyler Warren carry the targets.
- Houston's pass rush. Five sacks, nine hits on Burrow. Jones has not been sacked this season; that streak ends or the Colts win.
- Roof. Lucas Oil's roof status is not posted; 72 and calm outside if it opens.
My picks for the rest of Week 3 are in NFL Week 3 Predictions for Every Game.
Nothing here is financial advice.
