Kalshi prices refreshed September 23, 2026. The panel's numbers are its August 16 run, generated price-blind, and have not been re-scored since; every price comparison below is against that fixed set.
Who will win the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura? Kalshi has Chivas de Guadalajara back on top at 24 bid, 25 ask, with reigning champion Toluca at 20.5 and Club America at 19.5. Five weeks ago the models put Toluca first at 15.1 percent while the market had it at 10 cents, the cheapest of any recent champion on the board. Toluca has since won the Leagues Cup, taken first place in the Apertura table, and doubled on the exchange. The title is decided by the December Liguilla playoff, not the table.

The Call The Market Came Around To
The panel scored all 18 clubs on August 16 without seeing a price. It ranked the last four Liguilla winners at the top and put the crowd's favorite, Guadalajara, seventh. Here is that fixed set against the market on three dates.

Three of those went the panel's way and two went against it. Toluca is the clean one: a 15.1 percent read on a contract the market had marked down to 10 cents, now the second most expensive club on the board. Cruz Azul came back from 10 to 14. America, which the panel called rich at 23 cents on September 3, has given back three and a half cents since.
The two misses are worth naming. Monterrey has kept falling, from 12 cents in August to 5.5 now, against a panel number of 11.5 percent. Tigres, the panel's biggest down-ballot value at 8.8 percent, has gone from 6 cents to a 1-to-2 quote and sits 16th in the table on seven points. A price-blind read that likes squad pedigree will be wrong in exactly that way when a good squad keeps losing.
And the largest gap on the page has not closed at all. Guadalajara is the market's favorite again at 24.5 cents against a panel number of 5.4, a 19-point disagreement, which is wider than it was in August.
The Board: The 2026-27 Apertura Field

Two things about reading this board. The 18 midpoints add to about 99, which looks tidy until you try to trade it: the asks sum to 111 and the bids to 86, so the round trip across the whole field costs a quarter of a dollar. And Santos Laguna shows a 16-cent last trade against a 0-to-2 quote. That 16 is history, not a price.
Toluca: The Panel's No. 1 Is Now The Market's No. 2
Toluca were the reigning Apertura champions when the panel scored them, and the panel treated that as the thing that travels into a knockout. Since then they beat Monterrey 2-0 in the Leagues Cup final on September 6, through goals from Alexis Vega and Helinho, and climbed to first in the Apertura on 19 points.
The market has paid for all of it. A contract that traded at 10 cents on September 3 is 20 bid, 21 ask now, with about 29,800 contracts of open interest. The panel's 15.1 percent no longer looks like a value call; it looks like a number the market has run past. If those August figures were re-scored today, Toluca's would be the first one to move up, and the cheap price is gone.
Guadalajara: The Gap That Never Closed
Chivas is the one place where the panel and the market have disagreed all along and still do. The panel put Guadalajara at 5.4 percent, seventh, on the grounds that the club has not won a Liga MX title in years while Toluca, America and Cruz Azul have taken the last four between them. Every seat landed it between 5 and 6 percent.
The table says the fade is stale. Guadalajara sits second on 18 points, a long way from the 12th-place club the panel was looking at in August, and the market has moved it from 19 cents to 24.5, the most expensive contract on the board with the deepest open interest, about 49,200 contracts. Read the 5.4 as the floor of a fair range rather than the middle of one. Even generously re-scored, it does not get to 24.5, and that 19-point gap is the widest disagreement on this page.

The blend is an equal-weight average of the five, taken after a revision round in which each model read the others' anonymized reasoning and could adjust. Where The Panel Changed Its Mind
The revision round tightened the top and pushed the crowd's favorite further down rather than up.
One seat cut the popular pick and lifted the champions: "Cruz Azul 12 to 13, since the panel ranks it above Monterrey and Tigres as the freshest champion, and Monterrey 10 to 11 as the MD4 co-leader, funded by Guadalajara 7 to 5, absent from every panelist's top six with a weak MD4 start." — Claude Sonnet.
The place it would not budge was the very top. One seat kept Toluca at 15 through both rounds: "Held. The panel median matches me almost exactly, no forecaster offered new evidence, and knockout-Liguilla variance justifies capping the favorite at 15 with broad tails." — Fable. Five weeks later the market has come to that club, and the cap on the favorite is the part still being tested: nobody on the board trades above 25 cents.
What Would Change The Panel's Mind
Three things would move these numbers, and one of them has already happened.
Toluca keeps winning. Done, and then some: a Leagues Cup, first place, and a doubled contract. A re-score raises Toluca's number and removes the value at the same time.
Guadalajara holds a top-two place into November. The fade rested on a 12th-place start that no longer exists. If Chivas is still second when the bracket is drawn, the 5.4 has to come up, though the pedigree half of the case does not move.
The Liguilla seeding. The top six go straight into the bracket and seventh through tenth play in. Monterrey, tenth on 13 points and inside the panel's top four, is currently a play-in club. Once the November bracket is set, the whole board reprices around who avoids whom.
Dark Horses The Panel Won't Dismiss
Monterrey (11.5%, priced 5.5¢). The clearest remaining gap on a real club. Monterrey reached the Leagues Cup final and lost it, and sits tenth on 13 points with a game in hand. The panel's number is more than double the price.
Pumas UNAM (7.0%, priced 1.5¢). Twelfth on 12 points, and a 1-to-2 quote for a club the panel scored at 7 percent. The spread is the problem: at the 2-cent ask you are still paying a third of the panel's read.
Tigres (8.8%, priced 1.5¢). The panel's call that aged worst. Sixteenth on seven points, and the market has cut it from 6 cents to almost nothing. Included here because the scoreboard grades the misses too.

The Bottom Line
In August this page said the market was pricing fan bases and the models were pricing champions. Five weeks later the market has met the models on Toluca, which is now first in the table, holder of the Leagues Cup and twice the price it was. It has not met them on Guadalajara, which is the favorite again at 24.5 cents against a model number of 5.4, or on Monterrey, which keeps getting cheaper while the panel's 11.5 sits still. The panel's August numbers are a fixed record, not a live read, and two of its calls have already gone wrong in public. A full Apertura grades the rest of them in December.
