Two clubs with perfect records meet at the Emirates on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and the Kalshi market on the Arsenal vs Chelsea result has spent two weeks doing something that looks like a contradiction. Chelsea's contract is the most traded of the three by a wide margin. In the last 24 hours it changed hands 191,850 times, about two and a half times the count on Arsenal's contract, and it did all of that at a third of Arsenal's price. A market that busy usually moves. This one has closed at 20 or 21 cents every day since August 31. It sits at 20 tonight, the same number it closed at on its first day of trading. The reason is a wall of sellers, and I will show you exactly how big it is. It also explains why the draw, the leg most people assume is the soft spot in a three-way soccer line, is the wrong place to look for the mispricing on this board. The real gap is on Arsenal, where the exchange simply charges more than the sportsbook for the same result.
The Quick Answer
Arsenal vs Chelsea odds on Kalshi, as of September 5, 2026, at 7:18 PM ET, make Arsenal the favorite at 58 cents. The draw trades at 24 cents and a Chelsea win at 20. DraftKings prices the same three results at -140, +300 and +370. Strip the sportsbook's margin out and the book lands within about two cents of the exchange on every leg. A draw contract looks a penny cheaper on Kalshi than at the book, and Kalshi's trading fee eats that penny. The leg where an exchange buyer actually pays more than a sportsbook bettor is Arsenal. The full board, the wall of sellers sitting on Chelsea, the two-week price history, and the team-sheet questions that could still move all of it are below.

The Board
Kalshi lists this Premier League match as three separate yes/no contracts, one for each result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, and exactly one of them pays $1. A price in cents reads as the market's probability: 58 cents on Arsenal means the buyers and sellers meeting at that price put an Arsenal win at about 58%. The DraftKings column is the sportsbook's three-way moneyline, pulled from ESPN's odds feed on September 5, and the column beside it removes the book's built-in margin so the two venues can be compared on the same footing. If you have never traded one of these contracts, our guide to betting sports on Kalshi covers the mechanics in one read.
| Result | Kalshi (bid / ask) | DraftKings | DraftKings, margin removed | Contracts traded, last 24h | Open interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arsenal | 57¢ / 58¢ | -140 | 55.8% | 78,091 | 144,356 |
| Draw | 23¢ / 24¢ | +300 | 23.9% | 14,283 | 28,494 |
| Chelsea | 19¢ / 20¢ | +370 | 20.3% | 191,850 | 395,422 |
The row that matters is the last one. Chelsea's contract carries 395,422 contracts of open interest, meaning positions still held, against 144,356 on Arsenal and 28,494 on the draw. Nearly seven of every ten contracts open on this match are on the cheapest outcome. Across the three markets, 284,224 contracts traded in the last day. Another 568,272 remain open, a deep book for a single match by the standards of Kalshi's sports markets. For a sense of how differently a lopsided fixture prices, the Arsenal vs Coventry board from opening night had the favorite in the mid-80s and the draw in the low teens.
The 234,000-Contract Wall Under Chelsea
Volume without movement means one thing on an exchange: every buyer found a seller at the same price. The Kalshi order book for the Chelsea contract shows who those sellers are. At 20 cents, the current ask, there are 233,868 contracts on offer. One cent higher, at 21, another 167,407 are waiting, and 22 cents holds 188,039 more. A buyer would have to take down roughly 590,000 contracts, more than the entire open interest on the match, before Chelsea's price could reach 23 cents. On the other side of the book, the best bid is 19 cents and it holds 10,439 contracts, with the real depth sitting at 18 and 17 cents. The people who want to sell Chelsea at 20 outnumber the people who want to buy it at 19 by about 22 to one.
That is the whole explanation for the paradox in the opening paragraph. Chelsea's contract has traded 448,067 contracts since the market opened on August 23, more than Arsenal and the draw combined. The price is exactly where the first day's trading left it. The price behavior only works one way: the offers are being replenished about as fast as they are lifted. The Arsenal book is built the same way in the other direction. There are 108,268 contracts offered at 58 cents, with 122,920 more at 59 and 166,432 at 60. That ceiling has held Arsenal's close between 55 and 59 cents on every one of the market's 13 trading days. Tonight's book is one snapshot, but a price that has not left a two-cent range through Matchweek 2 on this much volume says the supply behind it has been there all along.
Chelsea's volume has an observable shape. The contract printed its low, 16 cents, on August 24, the day Chelsea won 3-2 at Fulham. Its busiest single hour before this week came on the evening of August 29, Eastern time, when 22,182 contracts traded and the price ran from 18 to 23 cents in 60 minutes, then gave most of it back within the day. It printed a 25-cent high late on the morning of August 30, Eastern time, the day Chelsea beat Brighton 4-3, and closed that day at 19. It has not closed outside the narrow range described at the top of this page since. The buyers who chased Chelsea to 23 and 25 got a better price by waiting.
A Favorite Pinned Between 55 And 59
Arsenal's contract has done less in two weeks than most Kalshi sports markets do in an afternoon. It closed its first session, August 23, at 58 cents, and its next two at 58 as well. It dipped to 55 on August 26, printed a 60-cent high on August 27, and has closed at 57 or 58 on every day since August 29. The one intraday scare came on the afternoon of August 30, when the price touched 52 cents inside a single hour on a few hundred contracts and closed that same hour at 56. Tonight it sits at 57 bid, 58 ask, with 78,091 contracts traded in the last day, close to half of everything the Arsenal contract has traded since it listed.
The sportsbooks have the favorite in the same place. DraftKings' -140 on Arsenal converts to a 58.3% break-even, meaning you need Arsenal to win at least that often for the bet to pay for itself over time. Remove the margin the book builds into all three prices and Arsenal comes out at 55.8%. Kalshi's 57 bid, 58 ask sits about two cents above that, the same shape we found across sports in our Kalshi vs sportsbook odds comparison. On our live odds screen, where you can shop the number across every major book, the Arsenal price is the one to compare book by book before the team sheets land, because the exchange and the books agree on the favorite and disagree only on how much a buyer should pay for it. That disagreement is where the fee math below matters.
The reason the crowd and the books have landed on the same favorite is on ESPN's match page. Arsenal, priced at 50 cents bid to win the league on Kalshi's season-long title board as of September 5, ahead of Manchester City at 23 and Chelsea at 12, have played two Premier League matches, beaten Coventry 3-0 and Aston Villa 1-0, and have not conceded. Chelsea have also won both, 3-2 at Fulham and 4-3 at home to Brighton, and have conceded five. The head-to-head record is what the sellers stacked at 20 cents are underwriting. The last five meetings in all competitions, per ESPN, are four Arsenal wins and a draw, including 2-1 at the Emirates in the league on March 1 and 1-0 there in the Carabao Cup on February 3. Chelsea's last three visits to the Emirates have all ended in Arsenal wins, by 1-0, 1-0 and 2-1. Sports Mole's preview puts Chelsea's last win over Arsenal in any competition in August 2021, five years and several Chelsea managers ago. At 20 cents the sellers are asking a buyer to pay one in five for something that has not happened in five years, and since every one of the last four league meetings landed at a one-goal margin or level, the place that record leaks is the draw, not the upset.
Where The Draw Actually Prices
Now the promise from the opening. The draw is the leg a three-way soccer bettor learns to distrust first, because a sportsbook has three prices to spread its margin across, and a margin spread three ways is hardest to see on the price fewest people compare. Kalshi's draw contract has been the one moving piece on this board. It closed its first session, August 23, at 28 cents and was 26 within two days. It closed at 25 on August 28 and 29, ticked up to 26 on August 30, settled back to 25 from August 31 through September 3, and closed at 24 on September 4, where it sits tonight. Its one close below that, 23 on August 26, came on fewer than five contracts. Four cents of drift, nearly all in one direction, over two weeks in which both clubs kept winning and Chelsea's matches kept producing goals. A DraftKings total of 2.5 goals has seen its over price move from -125 at the open to -145 today, so the book's customers expect goals too, and high-scoring matches end level less often than low-scoring ones. Our measured draw rate across a season of soccer markets ran between roughly 21% and 28% for a typical fixture, and 24 cents sits in the middle of that band, which is as high as a match between two attacking sides should sit.
So is the draw cheaper on Kalshi than at the book? At the posted prices, by a hair. DraftKings' +300 converts to a 25.0% break-even. Kalshi's 24-cent ask is one cent below that. Then the fee arrives. Kalshi charges the buyer who takes a posted price a trading fee of 7% of the price times one minus the price, per contract, per its published fee schedule. At 24 cents that works out to about 1.3 cents, so the draw costs a taker about 25.3 cents all in. The book's 25.0 is fractionally better. The table below runs the same arithmetic on all three legs.
| Result | Kalshi ask | Kalshi fee (per contract) | Kalshi cost, all in | DraftKings break-even |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arsenal Win | 58¢ | about 1.7¢ | 59.7¢ | 58.3% |
| Draw | 24¢ | about 1.3¢ | 25.3¢ | 25.0% |
| Chelsea Win | 20¢ | about 1.1¢ | 21.1¢ | 21.3% |
| All Three | 102¢ | about 4.1¢ | 106.1¢ | 104.6% |
The last row is the one to read. Buy all three Kalshi contracts at the ask and you hold a position that pays $1 no matter the result, for a cost of 102 cents before the fee and about 106 cents after it. The same three bets at DraftKings cost about 104.6 cents per dollar of payout. On this match, a buyer who takes Kalshi's posted prices pays more for the full set than a sportsbook bettor does, and almost all of the gap is on the favorite: 59.7 cents all in for Arsenal against a 58.3% break-even at the book. Draw and Chelsea buyers pay within a quarter of a cent of the same price on either venue. The mispricing people go looking for in the draw is on Arsenal, and it is the exchange, not the book, that is charging for it. The exchange price only beats the book for a trader who rests a bid at 57 and waits to be filled, which is the maker side of the book, where Kalshi charges a smaller fee or none depending on the market. Check the schedule before resting an order, and remember that fill is not promised. For the general version of this comparison, why a one-cent spread is not the same as no vig walks through the arithmetic on any exchange.
What The Team Sheets Change
Everything above is priced on Saturday's information, and the two team sheets, due about an hour before the 11:30 AM ET kickoff on Sunday, September 6, are the last thing that can move it before the ball rolls. Arsenal are without William Saliba for months, with Jurrien Timber's status split across previews. Saliba is out with a back injury that Sports Mole's preview says will keep him out for several months. Football365's preview and Goal both have Timber out with a groin problem, though Sports Mole has him expected back. Declan Rice limped off in the win at Villa Park on August 31 but is expected to start. Mikel Arteta's side has kept two clean sheets this season, and a third against a Chelsea attack that has scored seven in two league matches would be the loudest argument yet that the wall of sellers at 20 cents has this right.
Chelsea's question is Moises Caicedo. He missed the win at Fulham and the Carabao Cup win over Luton, came on as a second-half substitute against Brighton, and lasted barely a quarter of an hour before going off again. Goal's preview lists him as unavailable and Enzo Fernandez as uncertain, while Football365 calls Caicedo a major doubt, and the difference between those two readings is the Chelsea midfield that has to keep Martin Odegaard and Rice from running the match. Jordan Henderson, still recovering from wrist surgery after the World Cup, and Marco Palestra are out. Xabi Alonso's Chelsea have scored in every match this season and conceded in every league match, and that is the profile the goals market and the draw contract are both reacting to.
The result, for the market, is a match with a clear favorite and a genuinely open second question. If Caicedo is named in the starting 11, Chelsea's number is more likely to test the 21-cent offers than the 19-cent bids. If he is not, the 20-cent wall probably does not need to be refilled. None of that touches Arsenal's price much, because the buyers at 58 and 59 are pricing Arsenal's own form and a record against this opponent that has not been dented since August 2021.
An Example: What Each Contract Pays
The cent prices are easier to feel as payouts, and on this book the interesting number is the exit, not the ticket. A $100 stake on Chelsea at the 20-cent ask buys 500 contracts, and each pays $1 if Chelsea win this fixture for the first time since August 2021, so the position returns about $500 before the fee and nothing on a draw or an Arsenal win. The fee is charged when the order fills, so those 500 contracts cost about $105.60 at the rate above. Now size it up against the wall. Taking 5,000 Chelsea contracts costs $1,000 plus about $56 in fees, and the 233,868-contract offer at 20 cents would not even notice. Selling those same 5,000 back before kickoff is a different trade: the best bid is 19 cents and holds 10,439 contracts, so the exit brings back $950 less about $54 in fees, or roughly $896 on a $1,056 outlay. That is the one-cent spread costing about 15 cents on the dollar once the fee touches both legs. The same round trip on Arsenal, 1,000 contracts bought at 58 and sold into the 57 bid, loses about $44 on a $597 outlay, closer to 7 cents on the dollar. A buyer who plans to hold to the whistle pays the fee once; a buyer who plans to trade out pays the spread and the fee twice, and on the cheap leg that is most of the edge people think they are buying. Re-run those numbers at whatever price you are shown on Sunday morning, because the walls described above can be pulled in a second and the numbers on this page are Saturday night's.
One settlement detail decides more of these trades than people expect. Extra time and penalties do not exist in a league match, but Kalshi's rules spell out that the result is taken after 90 minutes plus stoppage time regardless, so a stoppage-time equalizer flips the whole board to the draw contract. All four of the last four league meetings between these clubs were either a draw or a one-goal game, and two of them ended 1-1.
What Moves The Price Before Kickoff
Every trigger below is checkable from the order book and the team sheets, with a direction attached.
- The Chelsea Wall At 20 Cents. The 233,868 contracts offered at the current ask are the number to watch. If that stack shrinks without being replaced, Chelsea's price is about to leave the range it has held for a week, because the only thing holding it there is the supply. If it refills, the sellers still have the match where they want it.
- Caicedo's Name On The Team Sheet, About 10:30 AM ET. In the 11, and the 21-cent Chelsea offers become the live price, because he is the midfielder Chelsea rely on to win the ball back before Odegaard and Rice can run the match. Out, and the 19-cent bids are the ones that get hit.
- The Arsenal Ceiling At 58 To 60. Roughly 398,000 contracts are offered between 58 and 60 cents. A confirmed Rice start and a settled back four in front of David Raya would be the news that tests the 59, since the buyers at 58 are paying for the two clean sheets Arteta's system has kept so far.
- The Draw's Next Cent. Sellers are stacked at 24 and 25 cents, 73,828 and 170,775 contracts deep. A draw print of 23 would mean the goals-heavy read has fully won. A move back to 25 would mean someone with size expects the cagey, one-goal derby the last four league meetings produced.
