Twenty-eight clubs have already been knocked out of the 2026 Leagues Cup, and Kalshi's board says so in the plainest way an exchange can: twenty-eight contracts already settled at zero. Eight are still trading. They play the quarterfinals on August 25 and 26, the semifinals on September 1 and 2, and the final on September 6.
We handed eight AI models the whole tournament and asked each of them to price all eight clubs in one pass. None of them saw a price. They got the bracket, every league-phase result, the stadium each of those matches was played in, both domestic tables and the competition's entire history, and nothing else. Then they read each other's reasoning and priced it again.
They came back agreeing with the market on the shape of the top and disagreeing with it about something bigger than any one club. The single loudest row on the board belongs to the only club in the field that won everything it played without ever going home.
How This Bracket Actually Works
Thirty-six clubs started: all eighteen from Liga MX, plus the eighteen MLS clubs that qualified out of the 2025 MLS season. Every league-phase match was MLS against Liga MX, three each, and the top four in each league's own table went through. Kalshi lists one contract per club, priced in cents, where the price is roughly the market's read on that club's chance of lifting the trophy. Club América at 18¢ is the market saying about 18%, which a sportsbook would show as around +456. Two structural facts drive everything else on this page.
The first is that knockout matches in this tournament have no extra time. Level after ninety minutes and it goes straight to penalties. That is a deliberate and very large injection of randomness, and it is the main reason no club on this board, and no number in our panel, gets anywhere near the price a dominant favorite would carry in a two-legged European tie. Every one of the eight models said so unprompted, and most of them put a figure on it: Claude Opus estimated the shootout rule was worth roughly eight points of compression, saying that without it "América and Toluca sit near 27-28 and Austin near 3."
The second is that the bracket is already fixed. The winners of León against Real Salt Lake and Toluca against Austin FC meet in one semifinal. The winners of Monterrey against Chicago Fire FC and América against Columbus Crew meet in the other. So a club's chance of winning the trophy is not just how good it is. It is how good it is multiplied by who stands between it and September 6.
Here is the quarterfinal round as the competition published it. Three of these four matches are at a stadium belonging to a club that is not playing.

The champion, the runner-up and the third-place winner all qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, so nobody in this field is playing for nothing on September 6.
One note on where the money actually is, because it matters if you plan to act on any of this. The champion board is deep: 447,662 contracts have traded across the eight clubs and 330,896 remain open, and the eight mid-prices add up to exactly 100. The per-match books for the quarterfinals are the opposite. Austin FC's regulation-time win contract has traded once. Three of the four tie contracts have taken four contracts between them. Those quotes are a market maker's opening offer, not a crowd's opinion, and we have not used them anywhere in this analysis.

León Took Nine Points And Never Played At Home
Club León finished top of the Liga MX league-phase table on a perfect nine points, and it did it in a way nobody else in this field did.
Its three matches were at Geodis Park in Nashville, at Inter.co Stadium in Orlando, and at Nu Stadium in Miami. It won 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2. Nashville SC currently leads the MLS Eastern Conference with 49 points from 21 matches, the highest total in the league. Orlando City's roster carries Antoine Griezmann. Inter Miami's carries Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez. León went to all three and came home with everything.
Only one other club still alive travelled the same way. Monterrey also played all three at MLS grounds, in Orlando, Miami and Nashville, and it lost one of them. Chicago Fire, Columbus, Austin and Real Salt Lake played all three at their own stadiums. Toluca played two of its three at Estadio Nemesio Díez. América opened at Estadio Azteca in front of 39,993. León is the only club in the field that took every point available without a home night, and it now goes to a neutral ground in Colorado.
The case against León is its domestic table, and it is a real case: eighth in the Apertura on nine points from five matches, a mid-table start in an 18-club league. But five matches is five matches. Six of the eight models, in the second round, named León as the club the market would most underrate. Gemini put it most directly: "They will underrate León, whose 8th-place Liga MX standing obscures the most impressive road resume in the tournament."
León is also the only club in this field that has ever won this trophy under a Mexican badge, beating Seattle Sounders 3-2 in the 2021 final. Kalshi has it at 8.5¢, seventh of eight. Our panel has it at 14.8%, fourth.
Club América And Toluca: Where The Panel Puts Its Top Two
The panel's two highest numbers sit on opposite sides of the bracket, which is exactly why both can be high at once.
Club América tops the Liga MX Apertura on 13 points from five, unbeaten, plus-eight on goal difference, and it scored seven in three league-phase matches. Its only blemish was a 1-1 draw at Q2 Stadium that Austin FC won on penalties 6-5, which cost it the top seed in its own table. Its quarterfinal is in Carson, California, at the LA Galaxy's ground, which several seats flagged as functionally a home crowd for América rather than a neutral one. The panel prices it at 20.7% against 18¢.
Toluca is the most decorated club left. It won the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup in May, beating Tigres UANL 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Estadio Nemesio Díez, and it won Liga MX back-to-back in 2025, taking both the Clausura and the Apertura. Its league-phase record reads six goals for and two against, with its only defeat a 0-1 at BMO Stadium against LAFC. The panel has it at 20.0% against 16¢, and four of the eight seats made Toluca the outright favorite, largely because its route runs through Austin FC and then the León or Real Salt Lake winner rather than through Chicago and América.
GPT was blunt about why the two split the top: "Toluca is my narrow top price because it draws Austin, whose 8-point league phase was entirely at Q2 and whose larger MLS sample is poor, while Toluca adds recent Concacaf and Liga MX trophy evidence plus solid current form."
There is a genuine counter-argument to loading up on Liga MX here, and it comes from the tournament's own record rather than from reputation. Across all 54 league-phase matches, MLS clubs won 27 in regulation and Liga MX clubs won 19, with eight going to shootouts. Claude Opus was the only seat to raise it, and it changed that seat's board: "Even discounting for venue … that caps any blanket Liga MX premium — which is why Chicago sits level with León rather than a tier below." No MLS club had ever won this tournament before 2023. Since the format expanded, MLS clubs have won all three editions.
Chicago Fire FC Has The Only Home Field Left
Chicago Fire is the one club in this field whose quarterfinal is at a ground it has used all tournament. It beat Necaxa 2-0, Santos Laguna 3-1 and Cruz Azul 2-1, all three at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, and it plays Monterrey there on Tuesday. Bridgeview is the club's secondary venue, a 20,000-seat ground it uses when the Soldier Field lease blocks a date around a Chicago Bears home game, but it is a home field, and it is the last one anybody in this bracket has. Robert Lewandowski, Chicago's summer signing, scored in all three, including a 93rd-minute goal that closed out a 3-1 comeback against Santos Laguna. Behind him is the strongest domestic sample of the eight: 36 points from 20 MLS matches, third in the Eastern Conference, plus-eleven.
Monterrey arrives with the thinnest qualification story in the field. It finished level on six points with Cruz Azul and Juárez, level with Cruz Azul on goal difference and on regulation wins, and went through on goals scored, 5 to 4. It is in this bracket by one goal. It also has Hugo Cuypers, who moved from Chicago to Monterrey this summer after Lewandowski arrived and has scored in all three of Monterrey's matches. Every seat noticed the storyline; almost none of them let it move the number.
This is the one row where the panel and the market essentially shake hands. Kalshi says 16.5¢ for Chicago, the panel says 15.5%, and Chicago's panel number went up in the second round rather than down.
The Board
Prices read live at 3:49 PM ET on August 23, 2026. Panel numbers are the median of eight independent models after a revision round in which each model read the other seven's reasoning without knowing whose it was. No model saw a price at any point.

The widest gap on the board is not a single club. Add the four Liga MX rows in the table above and Kalshi prices a Mexican champion at 53.5¢ against a 64.0% panel blend. Add the four MLS rows and it runs the other way: 46.5¢ against 36.0%. Eight models, working from the same fetched record with no knowledge of the prices, independently landed about ten points more Mexican than the exchange did.

Dark Horses The Panel Won't Dismiss
Four clubs sit under 10% on our blend, and none of them got there because a model shrugged.
Monterrey, 8.5%. Claude Fable was the high seat at 10.0% and gave a reason rather than a nod, pricing Chicago at only 56% to win the quarterfinal despite the home ground: "Chicago 56% over Monterrey (the only true home ground, used all tournament, Lewandowski scoring in every match vs a club in by one tiebreak goal)." A 56% quarterfinal favorite is not much of a favorite, and Cuypers has scored in every match Monterrey has played here.
Real Salt Lake, 8.0%. The panel's biggest fade against the market, which has it at 13¢. Kimi was the high seat at 9.0%, on the strength of the finish, seven unanswered goals across wins over Atlante and Juárez, after opening the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Tigres that went to sudden death and turned on Zach Booth hitting the post. Every one of those matches was at America First Field, and Tuesday will not be.
Columbus Crew, 6.8%. The 2024 champion, and the club the panel most consistently named as the public's likely overrate. All eight of its league-phase points came at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, and its MLS season reads five wins, five draws, eleven defeats and minus-six. Claude Fable was highest at 8.0%. The club also has recent history with its opponent: América beat Columbus on penalties in the 2024 Campeones Cup.
Austin FC, 5.7%. Myrto Uzuni is joint top scorer in the tournament on four goals, including a hat-trick against Puebla and the equalizer against América that sent the shootout Austin's way. The panel still has Austin last, because its MLS season is fourteenth in the West at minus-fourteen and every league-phase point came at Q2 Stadium. Where The Panel Changed Its Mind
After the first round, every model read the other seven's reasoning, anonymized, and priced the field again. Three arcs are worth reading.
Claude Sonnet moved furthest. It had Chicago Fire third at 14.8% in round one and pushed it to 19.6% in round two, level with Toluca:

DeepSeek went the other way on León while five of the other seven seats raised their number, cutting it from 16.4% to 12.6% and putting the freed probability on Toluca, which it raised to 23.0%, the highest number any seat gave any club in the second round.
And one seat considered a colleague's argument, tested it, and refused it. Gemini had flagged the altitude of Commerce City, Colorado as its biggest open question on León against Real Salt Lake. Claude Fable checked the premise and left its number where it was:

The net effect of the round was small and one-directional. All four of the panel's top clubs went up, and all four of the bottom clubs came down. Austin FC fell furthest, from 7.2% to 5.7%.
What Would Change The Panel's Mind
Each of these is a real event on a real date, not a feeling, and each one moves the board in a stated direction.
- Monterrey Beating Chicago Fire In Bridgeview On August 25. All eight seats named this, in the second round, as the single result that would most reshape their board. It removes the only home field left in the tournament and, in Claude Opus's phrasing, "strips SF2 of its only quality counterweight to América." América rises hard; Chicago goes to zero.
- Austin FC Beating Toluca In Harrison On August 26. Toluca is carrying 20% of the panel's board largely on a route every seat reads as the softer one. Take Toluca out on Wednesday and that whole half of the draw reprices around León.
- The Semifinal And Final Venues Being Announced. Both are still listed as undetermined. Four separate seats named this as their largest open uncertainty. Gemini's version: it is "most uncertain about the unannounced semifinal and final venues, which could drastically alter home-field dynamics later in the tournament."
- Team Sheets At Kickoff. This is a cup competition landing in the middle of two league seasons at once, and no injury, suspension or lineup information was available to the panel. If América or Toluca rotate heavily for a Saturday league fixture, the two clubs carrying 40% of the board between them are the ones most exposed.

The Bottom Line
Kalshi and our panel look at the same eight clubs and agree on roughly the same top three. Where they part company is over a league. The exchange prices this as close to a coin flip between MLS and Liga MX; eight models reading only the tournament record priced a Mexican champion ten points higher, and they got there by noticing where the matches were actually played rather than what the results table says.
The sharpest version of that disagreement is Club León. It won every match it played, all three away from home, at Nashville, at Orlando and at Miami. It sits seventh of eight on price. If it beats Real Salt Lake in Colorado on Tuesday, the panel's read stops being a curiosity and starts being the story of the tournament.
