We took Saturday off from the column, even degenerates observe the holiday weekend, but we're back on the Sabbath to make it sensational. First, the grading, because the tally waits for no man: Friday's card went 0-for-2. Caglianone went 0-for-4 while Witt and Pasquantino homered AROUND him, and Walker settled for a sac fly at Coors while Iván Herrera hit a 430-foot, three-run rocket in the ninth to win it. The right Cardinal remains the other Cardinal. One receipt worth keeping from that night: we told you Taillon wouldn't be long for the game, and he left after two innings with elbow discomfort. Right read, no reward. Baseball's like that.

Sixteen for 49, up 8.94 units, all of it in public, all of it in quarter units. The average entry on the 47 exchange rows is about 18 cents, so the prices implied eight or nine winners and the tally has 16; that's a hot stretch, not a forecast, and the quarter unit is how it stays that way. Today's a Sunday day-slate special, THREE swings, and the first one goes off at 12:10 ET, so read fast and fire faster. (Housekeeping: one bat is formally banned from this card for crimes committed on back-to-back Sundays as the second leg of a parlay. He knows what he did. We don't speak his name until he apologizes.)
Every Kalshi price on today's card is my Sunday-morning entry price as of September 6, 2026. The first game locks at 12:10 ET, so treat these as a snapshot and shop the number before you fire.

Brady Singer, the Reds starter Jackson Chourio faces at Great American Ball Park at 12:10 ET. His sinker-slider act, and what happens when he leaves it, is the whole thesis of today's first play.
The Bandbox Barrel (12:10 ET, Move Now)
Great American Ball Park, the bounciest yard in the National League, and Cincinnati is starting Brady Singer, whose expected ERA sits at 5.02, second percentile in all of baseball, behind a 4.83 actual. The arsenal is a sinker-slider act (49.6% sinkers), and when he deviates it gets loud: the cutter's been slugged .833, the show-me four-seam .700, and the whole package has surrendered 26 homers at 1.65 per nine. Now the honesty, in full, because this pick swims against two currents: 19 of those 26 homers went to LEFTY bats, and the man we're betting is a righty who Singer has historically handled (6 strikeouts in 11 career at-bats). So why are we here?
Because Jackson Chourio is the hottest barrel in Milwaukee's lineup and the price forgot: 4 homers in his last 10 games (dated: two on Aug. 27, one Aug. 29, one Sept. 2), a 12.8% barrel rate with 47.6% hard-hit, 21 bombs on the season, and a confirmed spot batting third, a proven earner on this tally, back at a number (14¢, +574 effective) that's nearly 200 points north of anything the books hung on him in this same park Friday (a different Reds starter that night, and no Sunday book number had posted when I entered). We're not betting the platoon or the history; we're betting the hottest contact quality in the building, in the building where contact quality goes to get paid. First pitch is early. So is the value. If a fresh Sunday book number shows up before noon, the live MLB home run prop odds screen is where I hold it up against the exchange.

The Broad Street Bill Collector (1:10 ET)
Aaron Nola's season is a repossession notice with a Phillies logo on it: 32 home runs allowed in 148 innings, 1.9 per nine, with 19 of them to left-handed bats, and at home it's worse: a 5.72 ERA with 17 of the homers coming in Citizens Bank Park's friendly dimensions. The pitch-level autopsy leaves nothing to the imagination: the four-seamer is being slugged .699, the sinker .658, the cutter .614, every fastball variant is a batting-practice pitch this year, while the knuckle-curve and changeup do all the surviving. Roughly 42% of his offerings are fastballs. That's the window.
Standing in it: Matt Olson, the NL's premier lefty fastball predator and a man who has already collected for this column once (Aug. 26). The profile is exactly our shape: 37 homers, a 15.1% barrel rate, an 18.4° average launch angle, seats-band geometry, with 50.4% hard-hit and 23 bombs against righties. The honest lines: he's cooled (one homer in his last 10 games), and the Philly breeze leans slightly IN today, which is why this ticket costs 22 cents instead of 17. But bet365's +320 is the best number on the board and Kalshi's +331 clears it: when a starter who has allowed the third-most homers in baseball, and is worse at home, throws fastballs to a 37-homer lefty with launch to spare, you take the extra 11 points and say thank you.
The 6-Cent Miracle (1:40 ET)
And now for something completely ridiculous, in the best way. Cleveland, 1:40 ET, and Detroit is starting Jackson Jobe, five starts into his return from Tommy John surgery with an arm that throws 98 and a fastball hitters simply do not miss: in his August 14 shelling, that four-seamer got TWO whiffs on 19 swings while the White Sox put nine of them in play at a 99.3-mph average exit velocity, launching two of them into the seats. That was the extreme version, and the five-start line says it wasn't a one-off: an 11.3% barrel rate allowed, a 5.65 expected ERA, four homers already. Elite velocity, zero deception, loud contact: the profile of a pitcher whose mistakes leave no doubt.
The scratch-off we're buying against him: Brayan Rocchio, Cleveland's switch-hitting shortstop, batting ninth, swinging left-handed against that exact fastball, and here's the kicker: he hit TWO home runs against this very Tigers team on Friday, in the doubleheader opener, and the grand slam came from the left side, the side that matters today. Full sunlight, because a 6-cent ticket demands it: Rocchio's season power profile is genuinely modest (12 homers, a 3.2% barrel rate; this is a price play, not a profile play), Progressive plays a touch under for homers, and the morning flag reads 14 mph in from right field, which is the one number on this ticket arguing the other way. But 8 of his 12 bombs have come off righties, every one of them from the left side, the man is seeing the ball like a beach ball against this exact opponent this exact weekend, and the pricing gap is the widest I have seen all season: the books range from +700 to +1300 on him, and Kalshi is hanging 6¢, +1464 effective. That's not an edge so much as a typo-sized gap, and the quarter unit is how we treat it. Quarter unit, same as everything else, and if it hits it pays like a jackpot that respected your bankroll.
The Card
You read the stories; here's the window slip. Kalshi's taker fee, roughly 7% × price × (1 − price), well under a penny on the cheap one, is baked into every number; the Kalshi fees breakdown carries the full math, and if the venue itself is new to you, start with how to bet MLB on Kalshi:
- Jackson Chourio At 14¢ → +574 effective (no fresh Sunday book number readable at writing; Friday's best in this park was +375, so shop it, but the exchange looks lapped)
- Matt Olson At 22¢ → +331 effective (best book: +320 bet365; Kalshi by 11)
- Brayan Rocchio At 6¢ → +1464 effective (books range +700 to +1300; Kalshi beats the BEST of them by 164 and the worst by 764)
Quarter unit each, same as every row on the tally. Sweep math for the skimmers who made it this far: all three connect and it's +5.92 units on 0.75 risked, tally to +14.86, and most of that is the 6-cent ticket doing what 6-cent tickets almost never do. All three miss and it's a three-quarter-unit loss, which is exactly why every play stays at a quarter unit. Day games, early locks. Don't dawdle.
The Rocchio line is the whole sermon in one row: the same swing, priced +700 at one register and +1300 at another, and the exchange sits 164 points past the most generous of them. Nobody finds that by opening one app. Holding the Kalshi ask up against every book at once is what the live MLB home run odds screen does for the rest of today's slate, and OddsShopper Pro does it for you (the fee math above translates the Kalshi side). It runs a 7-day free trial, then code LINDY25 takes 25% off your first week or month.

Final Thoughts
The hottest barrel in Milwaukee inside the league's bounciest park, the third-most generous starter in baseball throwing fastballs to a 37-homer lefty in the yard where he's worse, and a 6-cent switch-hitter who spent Friday treating this same pitching staff like a batting tee.
The sermon plays in every key: the 22-cent ticket misses about four times in five, the 14-cent one five times in six, and the 6-cent miracle, say it with me, misses roughly 14 times in 15. Every price is a confession, and every stake is a quarter unit BECAUSE of that confession. That discipline is why a skid never becomes a story and a jackpot never needed to be chased.
Before you tail any of the three, confirm Chourio, Olson and Rocchio are still in the posted lineups and that Singer, Nola and Jobe are still the listed starters, then check that the Kalshi number still clears the book side. If you want the full board instead of my three, the automated home run picks today hub prices every bat on the slate, and the rest of the OddsShopper crew posts free expert picks today.
I'll keep putting my best out there every single day, even on the Sabbath. Keep the stakes boring, the season long, and the miracle tickets small.
— Lindy
